Unusual is right

Hello Everyone,

Morning has broken, I'm up,ready for a new day...the sun is shinning today and no wind....thank goodness...took my camera to school yesterday to photograph that tree, but the council workers had beaten me to it and even the hole was filled in, and probably had grass seed down, never mind, it was spectacular to see.

Have a strange wee card to share...for a challenge at Trimmies craft challenge  [unusual Christmas card]

Well, I'm fairly unusual....and here is my unusual Christmas card...lol..

This little frog has been in my wooden stamp drawer forever....it has so many names on it, I dont know how to name it...so its just a frog, and all the g/kids stamp him, often.

Coloured with pencils...about 20 layers, added google eyes, so had to foam dot his hat, which is another rubber stamp.

that photo was a waste of space as you cant see the inside...but you can see the 3D, so we will leave it there, and fills in a gap...

The water around him has clear glue and glitter glue for a shimmer, MS leaves and pointsettias.

So thats me done for today......have clients away, so going to be finished by lunchtime.. if not before...so I guess I will have to just come home and play...[deep sigh]...what a hard life....

P.S. Yes, new profile pic, my daughter did it....

New Blings

Hello Everyone,

Today is Tuesday morning, drizzling with rain, which has made that wind die right down...it is chilly, but not cold, and the rubbish bin has gone..where ever it blew to, someone has adopted it as their own, so have ordered another....and why is it, when you something spectacular...you dont have your camera.

The boys school is attatched to a park called Nelson Park. It is an enormous round sport park, mainly for cricket, but the school use it for running around and such...on the edge of the sport field, there WERE huge trees, and when we arrived the biggest of them all was laying down...the whole root ball was out of the ground, all the cricket practice cage was crushed under this giant tree...all I could think of was thank goodness it went into the park and not toward the school..

Have a card to share today, and some new blings that I found in the Christmas decoration department at the Warehouse.....

Little mirror stars...they are so pretty, and outside in the sunshine, they sparkle so much.

Used Teddy Bea today...coloured with pencils, loaded her wings with very fine glitter in pale blue, from a candy I won from Tracey T..ages ago....her wand and the hem of her dress got some too.

Going to enter this little hunny in a challenge at Flutter by Wednesday

Oh! I forgot to mention, my fancy corners, old news, new news, I saw this somewhere where you clip the corners off with a small circle punch, so gave it a whirl, and I like it....

Well, thats me done...off to work today [whats new]...and the drizzle has turned to rain..whoo hoo...frizzy hair by lunchtime....cant wait to come home today, and I haven't even left yet..lol...

Welcome to my new follower, thank you so much for joining me...and thankyou everyone for your great comments everyday....

Hello Everyone,

Windy windy blow poof...

Hello Everyone,

Talking about WIND...we had a wild westerly night last night....Trees down, plants ripped from their roots right out of the ground, it came so suddenly. Rubbish bins, the big 40gallon drums bins, were sliding down the drive, the windows....well...it even scared me...not to mention Harry...my flat is windows everywhere and they were moving..I tell you, it was rough.
Poor Harry, paced around, ears down, kept getting under the computer desk....and I wasn't even on the computer....it went all night till about 3am...still blowing now but not howling..will be interesting to see what damage has happened around town.
I do know that when the winds hit down south, a tree fell and landed on a car and killed 2 people....and that what was going through my mind last night.......Our road...every second or third property has these enormous trees out on the council verge, and I was watching them go to town, at least they are not close to me, and if they went they would have gone away from me..phew...

Anyway, we survived the night, and I'm all prepared for these grandchildren to arrive...work first....doing 'my ladys' hair for her today....then playtime with the kids...should be fun.

have a card to share today...and it is Saturday morning here, and I never post on a Saturday, but this one was easy for me, and made for a challenge at Creative inspirations

Not very good photos, the colour is off as I took the photos on top of my stove with the range hood light on, as I finished it at 11pm last night, and forgot we get the sun really early, but with the wind would'nt be able to photgraph outside at the moment anyway...

Coloured with copics this time, added glitter to her hat coat. For this challenge you had 3 colours to use...blue..grey..white...

No DP's just embossed the grey cardstock with the snowflakes in silver, and around the image, glittered the dog as well...and added blue and white flowers across the top, and clear liquid glue for the ice..
Changed the blue tones with the royal blue ribbon with silver thread running through..and some blue pearls.

The white roses are organza and satin ribbon, and you cant see here, but they have tiny white seed pearls glued on.....I bought them $2 bunch.

Thats me done for today....off out to check for damage and find my rubbish bin...

Welcome to my new follower, thank you so much for joining me...and thankyou to everyone for your fabulous comments you leave me....

PS...forgot to colour her mittens...duh!!!

Sweet Molly DT

Hello Everyone,

I'm back...had a fabulous day, and managed to stay reasonably cool while I was working...managed to do a bit of gardening when I did get home...pulled out those flowers by my clean windows..lol..to make way for the new season.....dirt usually....those other plants self seed, saves you a fortune in the Autumn.
Besides...thats the dogs side of the house and dose'nt care if its pretty or not, cause he buries his bones amongst the flowers the big sausage....when he finds it he reminds me of Mr. Bean...he smiles at you as if to say..".Oh! looks what I found..."...and he only put it there 5 mins ago.

Onto my card.......

STAMPFAIRY   has a sweet little girl called Molly Winter 2, as their new release today.

There she is all coloured up with pencils and loads of glitter on her boots...

Lovely images to purchase at the STAMPFAIRY STORE    and the lovely freebie snowflake.

Aww..so cute

Hello Everyone,

First off thank you so much for all your comments yesterday...and welcome to two new followers, thank you so much for joining me.

Tis' a beautiful day today...been outside at 5.30am, and the sun was shinning, did a spot of gardening...ok..I picked out three weeds then lost interest..but it is going to be a beauty...

I love this time of the year, before the major heat comes..then its all sweaty and yuk!![ I dont do summer well]...I like the summer fun and the drinkies on the deck, BBQ's and such...but working inside houses all day with all the windows shut, as the breeze is 'chilly'...can get me flustered...

Onto my card to share today...a crooked uneven easel card...scored in the wrong place..but continued with it.....

But first...I will upload the photos from the camera...that could help!!!

Crooked easel on a crooked fence...thank goodness for photo fix...

See...I made the back bit too short...never mind

Close up of all the toys under the tree....

Precious moments Teddy Bear...so cute...

Close up of gifts from Rochelle   and the wee soldier was a colouring page and I shrunk him down, coloured with pencils and cut him out...

And thats all the pics....

The gifts I use copics,,a dit quicker than pencils...The tree was a colouring page and it was inked with sponges added red gems.....Teddy cloured with pencils and a copic bow.

Beautiful red spot paper froms Lisas candy  that I won from a pad ...'Forever Friends' Santas on his way...snowflakes punched out and glittered.

There you go...all done, and I really enjoyed making this card...

Going to enter 3 challenges with it...Ready-teddy-go   they need a Teddy and make it an easel.hope crooked ones are ok..lol..
and...Scrapbook sisters   'Christmas Time'
and...Winter wonderland  if I'm not too late...'Aww what a cutie they are looking for.
All done, just in time, the boys have arrived with my daughter, and they will all be talking at once, so best put my listening ears on, then off to work...

Luv CHRISSYxx

P.S. must remember to ink around images after I've cutt them...then the raw edges dont show so much...live and learn....

No Wedding

Hello Everyone,

Heres the clincher of the wedding drama......

There is only so much information you are given when making cards for folk, as we all know....

But the story goes like this.....

The [bride] is 75yrs old....the groom, 77yrs old...second time round for them have known each other for 40 years...he lives in a small town but with beautiful large property..well off..all good.

She owned her own home locally...and after all these years of talking, and meeting up occassionally, and being famiy orientated, he popped the question, she said 'yes' and it was all on.

The problem happened [now this to me is sad]...when it was suggested that she sell her house, gain a nest egg for herself, and move to his home.....this place is like a palace...
She [the bride] did just that...had a bank full of loot, had a decent looking man in the wings, sunshine on the horizon...but something snapped in her brain...and she suddenly lost the plot....would go to her old home and scream at the people to get out of her house...she wandered around dazed and got very confused...and finally  he was told, why take all this responsiblity on when it was his time to really enjoy life..and in one of her lucid moments she called it off....said she didnt want to move there, he was only after her money [he bathed in his bank account]....and she has come to live back here...with her kids...and they are going to deal with all this as they see fit.

so , thats the wedding saga...onto my card to share with you today...

Beautiful Teddy Bea skating along....

Coloured with pencils and lots of added glitter...fabulous and easy to colour...

Inside decorated as well......

Well, thats not much closer...but its there now, it can stay...
The challenge at TEDDY BO     is " A Christmas card, but red and green should not be seen"

Not one dot of red or green is on this baby...

Pink and brown and that is it...tiny little pearls for her buttons on her coat and one in the snowflake, and the ribbon, from my stash, is pale pink with a stripe of brown through the centre..perfect match.

Beautiful papers and, double sided, and who didn't write the name down...put your hand up...
came in a candy I won from Tracy T.

So thats it, I'm off to work shortly, we have long awaited rain this morning, smells beautiful on the hot ground and the spring grass...now the sheep will eat it and get the staggers..awful.

Have a great day /evening, and welcome to my new follower, thank you so much for joining me.

Also going to enter this card in a challenge at Cutie pie   they want 'Bears'

Thanks for stopping by...will see you all tomorrow.

A thing of beauty is a joy forever

Hello Everyone,

Wednesday morning, and awoke with a start, flew out of bed, switched the kettle on, flicked on the computer, uncovered the bird, flew to the loo, made my coffee......then I thought...it's very dark this morning...well at 3.30am..I suppose it would be...grrrr....no wonder the dog only opened one eye and gave me a disgruntled look...ah, well I was up so stayed up...and what happened...blogger froze on me and I had the message..'.you are currently not following any feeds'...for goodness sake....they would not come back, no matter what I did...so I coloured in till 5am...then I had access to my blog.

I have a card to share today.....it was a special request from a lady whos mother in law is getting re-married..got that...she wants flowers and black a silver card, and can I incorporatwe a 'V' as this will be what her new last name will start with...got that too...and a sign to show guests  to sign the guest book...totally understood....can I do it in 2 weeks...no worries there...so set to it,made it, loved it, very pretty....thankfully she paid me...and now the wedding is OFF!!

Oh Dear!!

Heres my card, box, and sign.

No image or colouring with this one, I just wanted the black whie and silver to show and of course all the flowers and home made pins.
The lovely wedding stamp was stamped in versamark and silver embossed...a large stamp from rubbadubbadoo..made in NZ I just noticed..all the flat flowers and tuile flwers out of one packet from Rosies studio..roses from WOC.

The pearl hearts from the wedding section at the warehouse, and the 'V' is on the sign.

So there is my prettiness for today, and the wedding is still off....if I knew I would have kept the project for my use, but they had already taken it...shame.

For more news...look what came yesterday...early.. before I went to work...

My beautiful candy from  VICKY         Thank you so much Vicky, it is gorgeous, I even took it to work and showed 'My lady'...actually opened it there so she could get the full buzz....and rubber banded around this yumminess were these.....

My prize from the bloghop at Sugar nellie last week...wow that was quick..

Welcome to my new follower, thank you so much for joining me...

Well, must head off shortly, might have time for a quick cuppa, and after school, I'm going to a recorder recital that my G/son [7] is playing in..that should be fun...now where are my ear plugs!!...hey!...I've heard them practising...I need ear plugs when there are 20 of them blowing their little hearts out..lol..

Power cut

Hello Everyone,

Had a funny day on Saturday...we had a power cut!! Do you know how many times I thought, well, I shall have a coffee.....oh! cant do that..no hot chips for lunch....missed my lunchtime TV show....couldn't blog [that nearly killed me]...had the boys with me...and surprisingly they didn't really care that there was no TV...they were colouring...I was all coloured out, and very restless, and heating a cup of coffee over a candle takes FOREVER....

In my coffee table there are large deep drawers, and Tyla was rumaging through and found a jig-saw puzzle.....soooo........................away we went.

The missing bits were a bit annoying 4 in total, but we worked on this thing for a few hours and never turned the telly on, when the power did come back on.

I finished it by Monday night, now it is going to sit there till the boys come back Wednesday, as they want to see it finished...

Now a card to share with you...had so much fun with this, and lots of tiny cutting out bits.

The beautiful fireplace was from Bird[Marie]....Rocking horse from Beccy  ..large gift from Stampfairy  small stack of gifts from Rochelle  and the Christmas tree was a colouring picture and I shrunk it.

Coloured with pencils, with pearls, glitter and star stickers and gems added, then popped up on foam dots....

On the inside is the beautiful die I bought on special...remember...you all loved it..well it took me so long to prick it all out of the die I could have made four cards in the meantime.
It is very pretty, but man oh man...I dont know how to make it easier to remove it from the die.
Maybe my card was a bit too thick...dont know...but it was there to stay..puts me off using it again...

Going to enter my card in a challenge at Forever Friends   [Christmas is coming]

and it is indeedy...very fast....

Welcome to my new follower, thank you so much for joining me. and thanks everyone for the fabulous comments you leave...still the highlight of my days...

Tags,tags and more tags

Hello Everyone,

I thought last week went fast...but the weekend flew by so quick as well, I dont feel like I had one.

Back to mops and buckets...washing and cleaning...and searching for missing things...love my job!!
[roll on Christmas...get 4 days off]....

But on the bright side......MAKE IT MONDAY   starts all over again....Thank you all for the wonderful entries last week...there were so many, and all so beautiful...and so hard to find a favourite, and the one I did find, and thought was very elegant and colourful and beautiful....was #211 HEATHER    unfortunately have no picture, but click the link for a quick look, you wont be dissappointed.

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Emma over at

Emma is offering a £10 voucher to her store.

My project this week, started off just for me....just a little idea, that someone else saw, and I nearly went into mass production...I tell you..there was smoke coming off my cuttlebug....

I just used the 'Topnote' dies, a tag die,and scallop circle punch ....and I cut out 6 of the  colour I wanted in the largest die,
6 cream in the next size down, then 2 circle punches for the sentiments, then put my prettys on.

The flowers were stamped and embossed then cut out by hand...yes I know...but it was quite relaxing.

All the smaller cream die cuts were put back through the bug with the snowdrop embossing folder.
Add little piles of all my shapes and got glueing.......
Punched a hole and threaded a ring through...done.

A lady called in to get a few Birthday cards, loved them and ordered 6 sets!!...so I was busy, busy, for a few days making these for her..AND her friend, who loved them too, so another 4 sets were made.

The things we do...lol..

So now we are off again at MAKE IT MONDAY     dont forget to check out my teamies beautiful projects when you go over to link up......

Have wonderful day/evening...I'm off to work shortly, but finish a 1pm today...and hopefully can come home and have a play....
