Numbers for CSD

Hello Everyone.....hope you have all had a fabulous day...mine was wet, cold, soggy socks again...and very eventful at 'My Lady's'...

But you are here to see our new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs  and this time we are looking for 'Numbers'.....and here is my make using Patches hitting the books  ......

There he is...cute little guy, coloured with Faber Castell pencils...papers 'Authentique Endless and fair weather...

Not a big sport fan, but I love Tilda

Hello Everyone....Sunday evening here, and must admit to not being the biggest sport fan in the world, but really enjoying the olympics....swimming on at the moment, left me breathless [I can't swim]...but yell SHARK!! and I show you how to run on water..watched the mens gymnastics..fantastic, and womens weight lifting this morning...amazing, and I thought hoovers were heavy..

Anyhoo..had time to whip up a card...and here it is for 2 challenges...

Tildas town  [paper piecing ]

Just Magnolia  [Country theme]

Looks a bit wishy washy...but there is my Tilda holding Tulips...

Paper pieced her dress and boots....coloured with Faber Castell pencils....

Memory box tree die, and there's that fence again from Mariannes creatables, a border sticker of grass, flowers, and the wee birds were actually on there but I picked them off and put them in the tree...

A close up of image......with a bit of glitter on her apron....and just remembered that was coloured with a copic G21.
Paper from my stash and added black gingham ribbon, as the corner up there looked sad..

So disappointed with the pale look, it looks so vibrant and bright in 'my pictures'..and my watermark has all but vanished...think I will stick to the old way....mmmm...

Never mind, there she is, off to watch some more Olympics, if my mother knew I was watching sport, she would be smiling from ear to ear..

Santas World - for Stampfairy

Hello Again Everyone.....

We have a new release from STAMPFAIRY  today, and he is so cute....

There he is..from Stampfairy and you can get him, with your freebie Bauble HERE 

Coloured with a red copic R27, and all sorts of different glitters, his hat, beard,bauble and snow...all different....then lashings of white paint..on the fence and the die cut tree from DORA  and around the card edge...oh! I had such fun doing this...

The gorgeous papers are from Rosies studio paper pad...and then my cute reindeer were in my Christmas stash box from last year...little black glittery reindeer..which finished off my scene.

There's the side view, and decorated inside with another little snow covered fence.

So there is my contribution for a Friday...YAY!!.. Friday...and I'm home alone with my dog and we are going to watch 'Friends' for the sixth re run in a year and we dont care...as long as I laugh, he shakes his head and rolls all over the couch and nearly knocks me off...crazy in this house that's for sure...have a fabulous weekend...hope your weather turns nice or stays nice..our rain as turned to constant drizzle here in NZ...but not to worry, as it is the weekend...and I'm not planning on doing a lot...

Vintage and Lace...Fussy and Fancy

Hello Everyone....what a fast, but long week this week....
I was having a nice snooze this morning and stretched in my half dazed sleep and something went POP!!!...yep...put my back out...it didn't half hurt getting out of bed, but I limbered up after a while, but work was a bit rough..tight up the top this time in between my shoulder blades, awfyul place as you cant reach it to rub it...

Never mind, could have been worse, so onto a new challenge for Fussy and Fancy...and this week we are looking for.............VINTAGE AND LACE....[no pressure]

Now I'm not a vintage sort of person and struggle a bit with it...so here goes.

There we are....the beautiful silhouette was a freebie from Create with TLC  and I was just playing around with printing on papers and this one popped right in the middle of this gorgeous paper 'Authentique' - 'Gathering Collection'...so there are no layers, as the image was there and no mucking around...when I start doing that things go wrong..lol..

The lace is from a ball gown, and I  purchased a bag full of pieces, 2 years ago from an outlet store opened for one weekend right by 'My Lady's' house...and this is the first time using any of it...needed a bit of trimming, but very pretty.

The birds I bought when on holiday, they are plastic and look gorgeous on top of wedding boxes..flowers from Woc..

There's a side view and you can see how 3D the birds are..[dont look LISA...  scary birds...lol..]..
and they do look better on top of a box...

The same paper on the inside...and there is my Vintage with lace card...

Horse and poppies

Hello Everyone...............guess where your wet weather has gone...go on....guess!!...Yes, we have it...3 days and nights non stop...am building an ark as we speak...it is bedlam through the day, getting in and out of the car, getting to the eldery, who have news papers on the floor, or take your shoes off and wander round in soggy socks.....my hair is so frizzy and poofy now, I can hardly fit through door ways..but it was needed badly, so cannot complain too much.

Have a card to share with you, just a simple one for my G/daughter who loves horses and this freebie popped up on SPYDER'S BLOG  and I thought of my G/daughter who is having her 10th Birthday on Saturday....a bit of a tom boy, no flowers your foo foo for this one.

A cute horse grazing in a field of poppies...well, the poppies are the background papers really, from Authentique 'gathering'....but you get the idea.

Inked the sky with sponges and SU bashful blue ink....the rest coloured with Faber Castell pencils.

And the horse is done pale as she has her own horse in similar colours..palamino, I think.

I love this fence die so much and I'm enclined to use it whenever I can, but this time, cut it out on wood grain papers from Authentique 'Dolled up'....the inside decorated too, but no sentiment yet, so it looks a bit plain....but going to put her name across the front of the card with chipboard letters....

Mermaids and Seaweed for MIM

Hello Everyone.......have woken up to a cold wet Monday morning,and that means a frizzy hair do for the day and a lot more traffic on the roads this morning dropping kids off at school, doing u-turns right in front of you, and just a plain blaa day..but the best bit of course is......it is....

                                                     MAKE IT MONDAY

I had a lovely play time with a digi from Digi my world called Mermaids...

There she is..made a step card so I could fit all the bits in that I needed to...

Image coloured with Faber Castell pencils, and used my new anchor  die from Marianne creatables, cut on grey card and added a chain...papers are MME 'Glittered Pack'...

Fussy cut out the seaweed and coral and used some punched black leaves from my stash..

Glitter and shells..memory box die and glass beads were added...and liquid pearls...

And then I had the decision on picking a favourite, and that is never easy when you have 309 entries and "PICK ONE".......but I did...

Fancy Girl

Hello Everyone.....hope you all having a great weekend so far...I am....my daughter and I had a lovely day out shopping with no boys, so we were very happy content shoppers.

I bought a couple of new dies and 2 more copics...lol..my collection is growing, now if only I could remember to buy them to match each other..lol..

Speaking of copics, have coloured again using my pink one...

This is 'Fancy Girl' a freebie from Saturated Canary  ......

Pencils for skin and hair, and liquid pearls in her hair...and a blue copic for her ribbon and gloves.

The beautiful papers are MME 'Lost and Found'...and so glad I found them as they are really lovely....flowers from WOC...and added a little chipboard bird cage with no bird, as she looks kind of sad, like she has lost something, so the empty cage is a symbol of her loss..gosh!! getting a bit dramatic there..

So there she is,and I've eaten too much peppermint chocolate so serves me right...but had a great day..

Mimi for Stampfairy

Hello Everyone....Friday again...YAY!!...peppermint chocolate night...YAY!!..and it is time for a new release from STAMPFAIRY  and something a bit differnt tonight...

Meet MIMI LOVE  ..............

A little cutie she is too....

Coloured with Faber Castell pencils...and her dress has been paper pieced to match the background with papers from MME- Miss Caroline 'Howdy Doody "and " Dolled up"...added a fews bits of white gel pen on her shoes and face...and I tell a part lie, her heart and shoes were coloured with a red copic...

Gorgeous lace from my holiday spend at the markets in Aussie...WOC flowers and a red heart button.

A real Kite..

Hello Everyone..........Well, this is how it goes...my last Care Bear card I made for the Ready-Teddy- Go challenge, I wanted a kite, so made one...but was not that impressed, as I put it on upside down, and it just bothered me....so there I was, fluffing around in my dies,looking for my fence die, and what should I find.....my new kite die which I purchased on my travels...for goodness sake, so had to make another card to enter the challenge didn't I...with a real Kite...or two.

These wee guys are coloured with copics, the plane with Faber Castell pencils, the sky sponged with SU Bashful blue,tree stamp SU..and dotted with copics...

Now the Kites, my new Whimsey stamps kite die, cut perfectly with a tail, with some red check scraps..could not be happier...

The sentiment from Ladybug crafts ink...

And a side view....

 I fussy cut the bears out and doubled my puff dots to give them real dimension.

So there we are....real kites....

New challenge for CSD - Colour Inspiration.

A new little character who is Afro Caribbean...

Coloured with Faber Castell pencils, and my first attempt at coloured skin...
Glittered up her gloves and pom pom on her hat....lovely to colour.Used a bit of black pen for her hair to make it a bit darker...

Gorgeous,small and green update

Hello Everyone......I forgot to tell you the other day that my gorgeous, small and green purchase also weighs approz. 1200kilos!!..........![will show you at the end of my post]

Another mild morning for me....slight breeze and nearly time for work...but first would like to thank Pops  for coming to my rescue and getting my Saturated Canary card up on the challenge blog...I tried and it just would not work, so again Pops..thank you...

I also received a gorgeous gift in the post from  Cheryl  and just love it....

Beautiful aren't  they....Thanks you again Cheryl, so much.

Now a quick card to share for the Ready-teddy-go-challenge  

The theme was up up and away...well, I did not have any flying Bears, so these wee care Bears was as close as I got to flying this time.....

A bit closer...coloured with Faber Castell pencils and a few copics and glitter...

A side view, and I made the kite, with his wire tail and some twine, from left over DP, which are freebies from simply cards and papercraft magazine.

So there you go, have since found some more flying Bears, so must make a couple more cards for the challenge....and just before I go... here is my gorgeous,small,green,and 1200 kilo  purchase...

There she is, the nicest car I have ever owned...and sooo economical..I zip through the traffic, getting to my clients, I can fit it in my garage twice...well, nearly..the wipers work, and so does the radio...so now I sing at the traffic lights... really badly..Harry only just gets in the back, but as long as he can go for a ride, he does not mind being a bit close..lol..

A boy and his dog - MIM

Hello Everyone....away we go with another week starting, for me at least...Monday morning, and just dont know where the weeks are going....the weather is starting to turn, the evenings are getting lighter, so not so scary driving home after seeing 'My Lady' at tea time...and the mornings are a bit brighter too....

For my card share, I just had to use this cute image 'A boy and his dog'...

I love this image and have used him a few times before...papers are Authentique 'Endless and fair weather'...Mariannes creatables fence and ' Memory box ' ArboscelloTree'...

Paper pieced his trousers and shirt, coloured with Faber Castell pencils...and some copic dots on the ground...

There is the side view.....and just remembered now that the photos are up,I have added a sentiment from Kaisercraft clear stamps "A Friend is a gift you give yourself"....should have done new photos.

For my pick this week I loved this little cutie from Bettina # 260 

I think he is so adorable...fabulous colouring and love his little puffy chest and hat..so cute Bettina.

Not Scared Now!!

Hello Everyone.......Saturday morning here, no frost, a bit chilly, but going to be a lovely day, and hopefullt the fence will get finished, as I have rounded up 6 children to do the painting..4 of them are my G/kids, the other are the from the flat behind me....yes...that is correct...the undesirables came down yesterday and wanted to know "why were we building a big fence"...they wanted to know so I told them..."As you tease, and are really mean to my dog, he has had a nervous breakdown[small white lie]...and he is very unhappy, so the fence is going up to keep you away from him, and then I can let him out into the sun, as we dont get any round the back"...well, they were very sorry and promised not to do it again, so we let Harry out to meet them, and he did all his tricks without me saying a word, just a nod of the head or flick of the eye and he performed for them, they were so good with him..but the fence is staying...lol...

Now onto a card....my second Saturated Canary card, and it flowed just perfectly for me this time, none in the bin...and I actually used some copics...

There she is...beautiful girl.
Coloured her hair and skin with Faber Castell pencils...but her dress was done with my 1 pink copic..R81 and green copic YG03....then I blinged up her shoes with glitter as my green copic went dry...
