HERE'S THE SCOOP

Hello Everyone...
I have to tell you what happened to my finger...the one I got blood poisoning in when I slice it with the mandolin...
The other day working at a clients house.. the man of the house must have been eating a pie as there were pie crumbs all over his leather recliner...so I was brushing them onto the floor so I could vaccume them up [very close to the fire] and a splinter of wood went straight into the side of my finger..and my first reaction was to get it out as it went in deep..so I used my teeth and yanked it out..it bled a bit and was pretty sore...but not to distressing...then it started to swell..and swell..and swell..it went tight ..the joint was throbbing..the knuckle was throbbing and I thought oh! oh!..

The wood they use in their fire is fruit tree branches and I had a reaction...but all is well now..and thank you all for the concern..just glad I can hold my colouring pencils again and type as I'm a two finger typist..lol..

Have a cute card to share today...it has been waiting around for awhile and as I have not done anything new.. so here it is....

Isn't he cute...a Precious Moments image..hair and skin with Faber Castell pencils and the rest with copics..

Whimsey Stamps Kite and papers from Rosies  Studio....Marianne fence and sentiment is a clear set stamp..

The Christmas tree in the background shows how long ago I made and photographed this one.

So there we are..not sure what challenges..[ if any].. to enter..but at least he finally made an appearance...

Very tired this Saturday night...had a real long hard day with boys and Ladies and driving from A to B and back again..so off to find the couch and watch "The Voice"...

Hope you have a fantastic weekend....and thanks so much for stopping by...

See you Monday..

Found a few challenges...

If that's not the weirdest thing! The splinter reaction, I mean, not your card! So glad it got figured out and I'm so glad to see another card of yours. Honestly though, I see nothing wrong with a Christmas tree in the background; even in May. LOL!
So glad you can 2 finger type again. :)
Get some rest and enjoy your weekend.
hugs,

So sorry to hear about your reaction, sometimes I have reactions to the oddest things too, but glad you've worked it out. It sounds nasty too with the splinter, eeek.

I'm glad to see that it's not impaired your ability to make your lovely creations. This ones gorgeous as always.

Jeepers, Chrissy... what have you got against that poor finger?! So relieved to hear there's no long term damage done, and very happy that you can still craft and blog!

I love this little cutie, and the higgledy-piggledy picket fence - adorable!
