A MXED MEDIA SCENE

Hello everyone...

Saturday night and rather chilly tonight..so thought I would post up a Mixed media scene I made...my first one..well, really my second, but the first one I did I just don't like it so I played again and made this...much prefer doing scenes.

This is a close up of the sand and I used toilet paper for texture..I'm just starting out with this kind of fun and have limited supplies...

The cute sign post from Kathryne at StampArt Designs...and the seagulls were fussy cut out off the internet...the bird on the post is one of those very expensive button birds..sheez.

Gotta have a lighthouse...Marianne Creatables...and a Kiwi fruit bag for the fishing net.

The foam in the ocean was Reeves modelling paste...and pearls and gems and an Anchor..

The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Firecrackers Designs.." The voice of the Sea speaks to the soul"

And there is the whole scene...a bit of stencilling and sprayed water colour paint..

So much fun to do...just like doing a card but bigger...this is 8x8 inches water card stock..

Was not ready for a canvas and have made another to share later on the same cardstock..will get a grip and use canvas soon..

Challenges to enter.....

4 crafty chicks   [Summer]

Moving along with the times  [Texture]

Inspiration Destination   [Anything goes]

Little Red Wagon  [Red white and blue]

Fan Tastic Tuesday  [anything goes with a twist -add texture]

Thanks ever so much for stopping by...

luv CHRISSYxx

I always knew there just had to be another use for toilet paper! LOL! This is so amazing and pretty! Love it! I've never attempted any of the mixed media - but if I ever do I hope it can be this pretty.

What a fab project Chrissy and I'm glad you posted smaller bits of the scene so we can see all the detail. This is gorgeous and so much detail... Love, love, love it! I also like how you 'staged' it with the rocks, that looks amazing.
