SCHOOLE RULES - WITH LACY SUNSHINE AND GOODBYE..

Hello  Everyone...

My last post for LACY SUNSHINE..sad but true..but needs must and it is time for me to move on..
Thank you Heather and Audrey for all your support and I had such a fun time on Lacy Sunshine.

This is a new week and new challenge..and our theme is "SCHOOL RULES"..[not]..

For my project I went for a mixed media again..and using the fun and ever so cute..

ELEANOR AND PICKLES - BACK TO SCHOOL   

 

I started with sticking chipboard letters and numbers all over the canvas..then painting it white..then the fun part was using for the first time, colouring with Gelatos..[thanks to my sweet buddy in Australia..]..and of course the splattering of white paint..just gotta do it.

The I added little rulers  I found on the internet that I fussy cut [not hard] and some apples too....sentiment is from "Doodle Pantry"..

GOING RUSTY..

Hello Everyone..

Gosh!..I thought I had better put something up on my blog before it went rusty..been a while..
I managed to face plant myself yesterday by getting my foot tangled in a hoover cord..lucky I didn't break my glasses but made my nose bleed and have 2 very pretty purple eyes this morning..lol..

Anyway, I will bounce back..had my day off today and got plenty done, but cannot show those yet..but I have some spares to share in my photos file and more for the men..

A flying Eagle [ or could be a hawk, not sure]...such a neat photo off the net..

Added some feathers, pine leaves dies, tree bark..

And a beautiful Stallion..papers from my scrap box, Marianne creatables fence...buttons and string..

Bark on this one too....for a clients Son's 60th birthday..

Last but not least...a magnificent Owl in full flight..

No papers, just corrugated  and box cardboard...splatters of white paint and more bark..

There he is..isn't he lovely...

So there we go..three more male cards, which I love doing...nice and thick with their layers..

DAY OFF CREATION..

Hello Everyone...

My day off today..overcast and a bit chilly, so I thought the weeds could wait till another day and I played most the day in my craft space, after some chores..only a few mind!..

And I made this Canvas...

I really like this one..I didn't think too much and just let it happen..

Splattered some paint around after sticking the corner paper down...added some moulding paste through the brick wall stencil...lace and washi tape along the bottom..beautiful window from WOC.....and an overload of flowers and pearls..

Love this window...I bought several of them in different designs...

The Maroon coloured paint was a fluke by mixing up colours, as I only have water paints in primary colours..so that was lucky as it matched these flowers from my stash.

I was inspired by this gorgeous verse..it was printed on the blackboard at my course I'm going on, so I wrote it on a sticky note and found it yesterday stuck on the back car seat..[ I look after my notes don't I ]...

The Dragon fly was a die I won over at Without words..

So that's what I did today...had a great Friday off...eggs on toast for tea and now off to chew on a Mars bar...

JUST DONKEYING AROUND.. WITH DIGITAL DELIGHTS

Hello Everyone....

Welcome to Thursday...night time for me and my day off tomorrow..[ just had to mention that]..and it is time for a DIGITAL DELIGHTS  Delightful Thursday..

This week I am indeed Donkeying around with these fabulous images from the DIGITAL DELIGHTS STORE 

This little sweetie is called PRECIOUS   from the DONKEYING AROUND SET..

In the background we have the DOWN ON THE FARM ACCESSORIES SET  ..

The barn..tree..haystack [coming up] and fence which was coloured with Copics and fussy cut out...I added the corrugated sun and grass and Precious was coloured with Reno markers and Faber Castell pencils...fussy cut out and popped up on tiny bits of cardboard...for dimension.

Then comes MURPHY ..sitting next to his Haystack [comes with accessories set]..waiting ...just sitting and waiting with his little chipboard birdie friend..who has his eye on the apples on the tree next to his birdhouse.

Branch is a MB die but laid it side ways to make the branch...punched leaves and pearl apples..the little birdhouse and bird from "Shop your own Scrap"[ my prize win awhile ago]..

HERE comes..BRIDIE..  he has a spring in his step and as he lopes along on  his corrugated and punched grass ...all the sky has been rubbed on with my fingers using blue eyeshadow and my template..

This card opens up into one long card and the back cover has a picture as well but I forgot to photograph it and it has gone already...

These are great fun images and easy to colour, and could make a huge amount of different scenes and cards for children...or someone who loves Donkey's.

TIME FOR THE GIRLS..TIMES THREE

Hello Everyone..

Day two back at work and I'm in the swing already..not too bad at all, and I was missed and told so over and over, so that was really nice.

Been busy this afternoon looking after my Grandsons mouse..Stuart..he has mites.. so I've been spraying him and cleaning the cage and spraying him again...he looks so much better than yesterday so something is working..

Okay..cards for the Ladies..

Beautiful painted images off the net..reduced and cards made..

A lovely cottage and flowers scene..with a Cheery Lyn designs fence[ cut in half] and MB butterfly..and a few flowers sprinkled around..

Added a small amount of texture paste through a brick wall stencil and another MB frame die..

No design papers..just Ivory coloured cardstock and distressed edges..

I love this one..loads of layers..another internet image..Chipboard birds sitting on branches from WOC...white embossed Happy birthday sentiment [was given a lot of wooden sentiments stamps when I was away in Christchurch in April]...

Nice and thick but flattens down well for posting..I used grocery cardboard boxes cut up for the layering and a hot glue gun.

Flowers from WOC and the pink cardstock strips in the background is left over bits which I distressed..[ Saw this on Pamellias Blog ]..

And one more....

Another window scene but slightly different colours..

Lots of thick layers again..this time used Prima papers in the background and for the strips through the middle..

I love the chipboard flowers from WOC...

All edges distressed..a doily and cheesecloth with pearls and pink roses from WOC...

So there we go..three more cards done and also sold..now, that made me happy.

WEIRD AND WHIMSICAL WITH LACY SUNSHINE..

Hello Everyone...

Long face today...Monday tomorrow and I have to go back to work..I DO want to..and I don't want to..cant wait till I retire now..have the taste for staying at home and just playing..staying in my jammies till whenever..eating at silly o'clock because I can..and having breakfast for lunch and lunch for tea.[.sigh]...dream on girl..you have to work for awhile yet..

Okay...not Monday yet...today is Sunday and there is a new challenge starting up at Lacy Sunshine 
and this time we have..WEIRD AND WHIMSICAL.. using darker colours..no pastels.

I must say, this threw me a bit, but once I got going it all came to plan..sort of.

Here is my [and I say this loosely] Canvas..which is really a piece of cardboard cut off an old biscuit box that I bring my grocery shopping home in...

So we started of with Gesso...black and silver paint swished into the middle...added some silver embossed mushrooms which did not stamp too well, but they are there..under the  memory box trees cut in black..and squiggled silver and blue fabric paint around the  edges..

The came the giant dragonfly, who flies around the dark forest looking fairly ominous..wouldn't like him tangled in my hair.

And out of all that darkness comes this little cutie..Shanna Unicorn Girl ..from the Lacy Sunshine Store ..

Not too scary after all..Shanna is coloured with my Reno Markers and added glossy accents to her eyes..fussy cut her out and popped up on foam squares and hot glued as she kept falling off.

So there we go...our new challenge WEIRD AND WHIMSICAL...hope you can join in..

JUST ONE TODAY...BUT HE IS SPECIAL..

Hello Everyone..

Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my last 3 masculine cards..we have the ladies next..maybe tomorrow, but for today...well, what can I say......IT'S BARRY..

Finally coloured an image for the challenge at WITHOUT WORDS ...with the theme..Harvest Home [fruit and or Veg]..

Barry was all coloured up with Reno markers and Faber Castell pencils for shading...

The Pumpkins were fussy cut out a popped up on foam squares with some corrugated cardstock for grass...

And the background papers are fibre paper [or whatever you call it]


So there we are...a clean and simple card with a coloured image for the challenge at Without Words...and by the way...I won it last month..whoo hoo..and ordered a dragonfly die from Clearly Besotted stamps and it was here in NZ within 7 days...brilliant service.

Thanks so much for calling in...off to get creative as I  am down to 3 more sleeps and then back to work..[ long face...]..I have enjoyed being home so much..think I only got bored twice and both times I was waiting for glue to dry..

HOW ABOUT A MASCULINE CARD TODAY!

Hello Everyone...

4 more days left of my holiday and where has the time gone..I know a lot of it was in the craft room and finding dust bunnies under beds..still haven't cleaned the oven, but I don't really care..lol..had a great time off and know I'm being missed something awful..[ My Lady..]

So today we have a masculine or maybe 2 cards to share...okay 3.

This is the first one...

And...actually ended up going to my Grandaughter as she just loves horses and the colour brown.

Very simple card to make using an image off the net..tree bark...cardboard box all cut up..some string and gold stars...

Card number 2...more horses galloping along the beach in the waves..lovely image.

Navy card stock..muslin and shells..a lighthouse & Anchor [heavily embossed with every powder I own from  [Marianne Creatables]..

Thick cord...vellum sentiment embossed in white using a wood stamp and corrugated white card stock...

This one has been sold...yay!..

Shall I keep going..I'm having fun..

A Sailing ship..what man does not like a sailing ship..

Again.. image off the net..ships wheel [new die from Couture creations]..thick cord...shells..and the Marianne Creatable Anchor was cut out of a bourbon and coke can...the cuttlebug was not impressed but I was..

HOSTESS MONDAY FOR DIGITAL DELIGHTS..

Hello Everyone...

My word the big freeze has come back and it so cold today..not that I have to go outside this morning as I'm on my second week of my holiday..lovely...but I do have to venture out this arvo as I have my second course to go to for my level two's..for my job..you need this certificate to clean loo's you know..takes a lot of skill to pick up a brush and scrub..[ just being facetious]..it is more like a refresher course..a lot more to know than just clean and so many DO NOT rules..and I should know all the answers but my brain usually stays home in my craft space.

Time for my share using another, and one of my favourite images, from the Digital Delights Store

A Christmas image [we are getting closer you know...] and this sweetie is called Christmas Saffi

Love these two...all coloured up with Copics..Reno markers and Faber Castell pencils..

And...a side view..papers are Couture Creations..Vintage Christmas..cuttlebug snowflake with a punched snowflake in the middle with a very sparkly gem for the centre from my stash..so is the lace and pom pom trim..

A LOVELY RESTFUL DAY..

Hello Everyone....

Had a lovely day today, just hanging around, made a card, watched TV..really restful.

Have another canvas to share today....the girls with their Dad...

Taken the same day as the other photos...The girls were going to be leaving the country with their
Mother and it was a bit up in the air, so the photos were taken, and we all got some to keep..but they didn't go..yay!..so I have canvased up all the photos I had..

Lots of corrugated cardstock for a frame....[ Saff the Staff in the picture too next to Dad...sadly she has departed this world now..]

Modelling paste and stencils...with flowers and chipboard butterflies....

Some of that real tree bark and button leaves...

Plus hessian and netting....the black netting came with tennis balls in it....

and stickers from the old days of scrapbooking..

NEW RELEASE WITH DIGITAL DELIGHTS..

Hello Everyone...

Brrr...a bit cold and rainy today...should be cleaning the oven, but, I cannot get the lid off the oven cleaner..true, I can't..it says squeeze and twist..but I have no squeeze in my fingers and cannot twist..stop laughing, it is TRUE..lol..

So been making cards instead for friends..to give another friend for her birthday next Monday..and trying to make them all different..mmm..working on it.

BUT...today is new release time at DIGITAL DELIGHTS  and I have to cutest little fellow to share with you...

This is KITE FLYING EWAN  ...and if he is not careful I think he may get his kite tangled in the trees like my Grandson did...

There he is...flying his kite in the wind and looking pretty leased with himself...

All coloured up with Copics and a bit of Faber Castel pencil...some die cut clouds and punched grass border...

 

And, very close to those dreaded trees that took Tyla's kite..[ Whimsey die]

DAY 2 GONE- AND ANOTHER SCRAPBOOK CANVAS..

Hello Everyone...

Day 2 of my holidays gone and managed a few things on my to do list..

The weather was just right to get out in the garden and did at least 1/4 of it..cleaned the house on Monday..washed nets and just a general tidy up..found some dust bunnies under the bed and disposed of them quickly and a few webs..[Charlotte been busy again]..

Not a lot of activity in the craft room but made this canvas at the same time I made the girls one...

This time it's the boys..

They don't always look this happy next to each other..lol..must have been having a good day.

The canvas started out with newspapers glued on..then texture paste and quite a few stencils..loads of corrugated card and cardboard boxes cut up...spotted washi tape...scraps out of the scrapbox all torn up...black and white paint...chipboard cogs and the little wooden things that come with the canvas for the word Brothers..[stickers]

The wall paper in my craft space looked so special after my splattering on my canvas..[oop's]

And..Harry...enjoying a special treat laying with my Grandson..ON MY RED FUR BLANKET...

Oh! well..can always shake it..
