KNOCK KNOCK...

Hello everyone..

Having the family for dinner tonight, going to be busy busy busy..as everything has to be done fresh, no waiting, no keeping things warm, it has to be done and bang, up to the table 6 mins and it will be gone..I hope they enjoy what they inhale..lol..better than being fussy I suppose..

Today I'm sharing a Fairy Door notebook cover..a step by step and a lot of fun..

Started off with a cheap notebook but a hard cover not soft...so much easier to work with...

The used my brick stencil and modelling paste for texture..then I missed a step, I had cut thin strips of carboard and glued on the front of the book after shaping the strips to make door panels..

Then covered with tissue papers and pressing into the joins...

Painted it all white..

Added some beads for decoration...

And added shadows and a bit of colour with Altenew ink..

Time to paint....

Yellow Ochre first with a little burnt sienna..

Added brown and black lightly to finish the bark look..

Added a little brass knocker..[ it is the thing you use to pull down the roller blind..] and covered the embellishment beads with some gold Nuvo mousse..

Added ivy all over the door frame and it is down the back of the book too...

The final touch was the tiny silver Dragonfly...

So there we go, sorry I missed a few pictures, I don't know, I get so involved in what I'm doing I just forget to take all the photos, but I think there is enough..

Thanks so much for stopping by..I'll hopefully see you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx
