JUST MADE IT IN TIME..

Hello everyone..

What a glorious morning, I just open up my curtains and the sun is beaming in AND I have blossoms on my tree, pathetic, but still blossom, one gust of wind and poof!..they will be gone..

I made another card yesterday and got very carried away [as you do sometimes]..with all the leaves I die cut and glued...

But I started out by trying out my Jacquard Pearl Ex powders as there are so many I tried all the golds first..

Sprinkle and add water..not too much and I used a brush to spread them..

Then die cut out heaps of leaves from this card stock..

Needed some yellow to go with my freebie picture from Geko Galz..

Sponged a bit of ink on them while still in the die...

Cut some in brown  card stock and patterned paper..nice little piles..

The sponged vintage photo ink through the negative and made a neat background [which I completely covered up]

Then put everything together..I die cut out the little dragon fly in light teal card stock and just added a bit of colour..to match the one in the picture..

Not too much dimension, just enough and the thank you stamp is wood stamp from my stash..

A close up of the beautiful squirrel and dragon fly..

The leaves make a lovely frame but not a great postage point..needs a box!

And a side view..

So there we go, thank you so much for stopping by today, Monday morning here, got a few things to do and have the family for dinner tonight, my Sons request this time..American hothogs with onions and mustard, tom sauce..and indigestion [that was my input..lol..]

A most beautiful autumnal card, Chrissy. The background of layered leaves gives a real autumnal feel to your card and I love the stencilled background that you completely covered too! Thanks for sharing at Gecko Galz xx

That little squirrel is darling and so perfect for us right now because we see these guys running everywhere and before you know it, they'll be running through the colorful leaves just like on your card here! I think I will try that technique Chrissy, it looks so amazing on your card. I have used the die cut as a stencil but never thought of actually making a background before die cutting! Brilliant!!

A lovely leafy card - it's great how it somehow manages to combine spring and autumn in its colours. I still have trouble getting my head around the fact that we're not all experiencing the seasons together!!

All those leaves transform the basic square shape of your card very effectively. Autumn glory:)
