TAG..

Hello everyone...

I have a tag to share today for Tag Tuesday..with the theme...BOOK PRINT...

Now don't all go shouting at me at once, but I have no books in my house..gospel truth, apart from the one I am reading..I used to buy books by the hundreds but had to down size, so joined the library and never bought another book..so I had to improvise and I ripped up the back side of a craft magazine then attacked the telephone book, do not know anyone in Wairoa so pretty safe there..

I made my own white tags for something to do as well, as this tag making and decorating is fun..
So ripped up some pages...

And glued them down with matt medium...brayed the lumps out a bit and heat dried it..

Then started spraying with Kaiser sprays today..

Got some nice bright colours then stamped with my huge wooden stamp and archival ink..

Then stamped a sketchy flower stamp with embossing ink and embossed in white

Then stenciled with beautiful Finnabair Snowflake paste through a Tim Holtz number stencil..

Then added the telephone ripped up scraps as you could not see the book pages anymore..

Added some die cut letters saying..HUGS coffee..and a good book go together..

And there is the finished tag...

So thank you so much for stopping by..hope you are staying safe and well..

See you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx

This is just wonderful Chrissy! So many layers on your tag, so many great techniques used, the end result is gorgeous-great sentiment too- but more importantly you really enjoyed making it!
Good for you using the library- I can never understand why people don't! Why buy a book you only want to read once and then have to find somewhere to store it? I do have shelves of books which are mine- but always borrow my fiction from the library- wouldn't be able get into my house otherwise (and I'd be broke!)
xx

Given you have no books in the house (I'm trying very hard not to shout! I would miss my books terribly despite being very attached to my Kindle these days), I think you've come up with a cracking tag. Loved seeing the layers building up, and now I need a cup of coffee - that's the power of art!
