WHAT NOT TO DO ..

Hello everyone..

I'm here sharing Christmas cards today and sharing what NOT to do with Nuvo drops..

But first heat embossing and water colouring on navy card stock..and how different they can be..

White heat embossed for this Gina K wreath and water coloured with this lime green shown in picture and you would not think so, can hardly see it even IRL..

Next colour a deeper green...no difference.

Onto a darker green and you can see it a bit..

There are the three of them..the last one shows up the best...

Then I made a swatch of the reds that I had and they were all blaa..just too pale..

So I used Nuvo drops in Red Berry..

Then added Nuvo.. Simply White Gloss and Bright gold..

And they were okay..

And made into cards....and see how they dried....you can see the green better....BUT you have to be real careful and wait until the drops are properly dry as the little blighters bleed into each other and a few of my berries were not good..

So I thought I would play with gold embossing next...

I like gold embossing and I don't get so many splatters like I do with white embossing and the different paints showed up quite nicely..

This time added two Nuvo drops colours..Bright Gold and Mustard Gold

They look nice, but up close, oh, dear, my gold bled together as I was impatient..

But they will pass..they are flat and easy to post..

Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx

My 2 1/2 year old Great Grandson Hadley..
New boots and sun glasses, he was so chuffed..lol..he is such a character.

Beautiful wreath cards Chrissy. I found out exactly as you did with the Nuvo drops. So learnt to do one and let it dry and even then leave a little gap between them!! Pain in the Ar...e!!
Hadley looks adorable and great fun!!

Your wreaths are fantastic and so beautifully done over the darker panels! I love the added Nuvo drops over them and how they've all turned out! Beautifully done again my friend!

Hadley is ADORABLE! and what a cute age. As for the cards, they are beautiful. I love the different iterations. I have the same problem with the NUVO drops, I'm just much to impatient!

I rather like the imperfection of the berries - embrace it! The design is gorgeous... and I think the white probably edges out the gold by a short distance for me, but they're both lovely. I also embrace the imperfection of extra white embossing spatters!!

Really classy Christmas designs. Thanks for sharing useful tips. I don’t think it matters some berries bled together.
