CANNOT WAIT ANY LONGER...

 Hello everyone,

I'm really excited to share this project which took quite a few days and a lot of fussy cutting to make..and I LOVED every minute of it and been sittin here just waiting for the right time to share when I'm not so busy, so here we go..and I'm so sorry there are lots of photos, I just couldn't stop...



BEFORE AND AFTER....


So it all started with this box my Daughter gave me, she gets this posh face care stuff.


And Autumn is my favourite season although you know I'm in late Spring over here..
I had to go for Autumn, and found these images on the nets, printed, coloured and fussy cut them all out..


But first...painting...coat one...


Layer one...


Layer 2..


Layer 3...and 4


Birdhouse's turn..


Now they match....


lots of black splatter too, for texture and more natural look..


All dry and now to the squirrels and acorns..


The acorns were easy with sponge daubers to add the colour, then a thick coat of clear embossing powder so they become thick and strong..


The squirrels coloured with markers and are not this orange..


Time for gluing down all the leftovers I could find that would go well with this project..


I bunched leaves together and glued an acorn on..


Added some to the birdhouse along with the leaves and those cute squirrels..


Gosh, I had a lots of leaves done in my tray and I love this little fellow getting up there to get his acorn..


I die cut some toadstools and sponge coloured...


Then added gold splatters to lighten the box a bit..


And glued leaves and acorns inside...


Put the birdhouse in there and added more leaves and the toadstools...


And there it is sitting in my garden [ but just for photos]

    Mind blowingly out of this world Awesome project Chrissy, it looks absolutely, truly wonderful the little squirrels, the acorns, the leaves and mushrooms, it all looks like a little habitat for nature, I am just lost for any further words Chrissy I just think you are so talented and full of creativity and inspiration, top notch work

    Chrissy you must have to patience of a saint, my word this is fabulous but all that cutting by hand !!! I would be screaming, so glad your not, this is amazing.xx

    Wow Chrissy! You're so creative and so clever with how you put together items and turn your mixed media play into something amazing and special! I love that you were able to get that birdhouse in there and have it all decorated up for Fall! The gold splatters are perfect and you've done a great job painting up the wood pieces for that woodsy bark look! Really outstanding friend!
