Hello everyone,
My, I have not posted anything for a few days and nearly forgot how..
I've been super busy, getting the beans and other veges out of the garden and freezing them ready for the winter, which, with this heat , seems like an eternity away..my corn maybe not as high as an elephants eye like last year, but I have 8 cobs growing bigger everyday..cabbage will be ready for coleslaw on Christmas day, Cauliflowers doing their thing slowly and broccoli already in freezer, so I'm all set..for the things I don't grow through lack of space, I bought, today, and cut blanched froze this morning, so that is all done too.I even made several bags of mushroom sauce as the local vege shop had a special so I bought 3 bags of them and all sauced up, and you guessed it, in the freezer..
So onto todays post, it is not Christmas or Easter..lol..it is a wedding box and card...
I made the box 2 1/2 inches deep, so maybe a gift or something can be put inside.
The card was slightly bigger to make sure the box was " Comfortable " inside.
I glued the box onto the back panel of the cover
making sure the lid closed properly..
Then glued the spine and pressed it quick..
I had one sheet of this paper left, the woodgrain, so photocopied it several times to get enough of the papers to cover the box and card and lid..
This is the outside spine, reinforced with thick card stock then papers..
This is what I had to do as I ran out of the off white card stock for my mats.
I cut strip and glued into white, the added the papers and you cany even tell..
See..
So the box was done and ready for decoration..
The card all fluffed and beautiful..
The advantage with the deep box you can go bow and flower crazy..
See..it nestles in ther just right..and with room to spare..
The cover of the box, lace panels flowers and pearls..
then I added a little handle to the box front..
done..
So there you go,
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you Wednesday..
Luv CHRISSYxx
Had a top 3 spot..
