A LITTLE STEAMPUNK..

 Hello everyone,

Hope your weekend is going great with nice weather whether you are winter or summer, I'm winter and loving it, frosty mornings and beautiful sunshine days, so can't complain.

I was playing the other day with a distress oxide I bought called Bundled sage and Weathered wood and tried a little something new for me...........a one layer card, inked straight onto the card base..and I think I held my breath all the way!!

But first, my new die..could be Steampunk...Easter...Madhatter....Christmas....the list is endless..

I went Steampunk..

So here' s the hat with hat band and buckle from Temu..

and I mad ethe first hat, and loved it..

made a second one and added a gear.

then no band and a shiny gold gear..

Then nail art gears..and white shadows..

a few more gears and I was happy with this one...

so here's the ink, bad lighting, dull day and very bad editing..

then wet embossed this lovely pattern stencil...

Then this idea came about while paste was wet..

On went the hat with a good bit of dimension..

one layer and dimension..

and done ..
with a scattering layer of gears, these nail art gears are perfect..

So there we go..

Thank you so much for stopping by, see you soon..

  2. Got to say it before I forget....it could also be a little Leprechaun's hat, haha, its really a good buy. Anyways, love your card Chrissy, that hat is going to be used again and again, love it.
I love all the seasons, however, right now I am getting abit over heated, we hit 104 degrees in my garden the last couple of days and it got the better of me, phew it was hot hot hot...xxxx

  10. that is a very cool top hat, love the buckle with it, I like how you added a touch of ink so the paste would stand out and then the sprinkling of the foil flakes was a great idea, so cool!
