" M " IS FOR MASCULINE..DT

 Hello everyone,

Wednesday time again and I'm in mid morning on the day writing this and nearly had a panic attack as I had not got my post ready for this weeks Little Red Wagon even though my post does not go up until 11.30pm at night, still..anyway, I'm onto it now, and our lovely Imke is hostess this week and her alphabet theme is " M " for Masculine...my favourite kind..

So what did I make...I made a masculine Nautical style booklet journal card..

12 x12 fold up along the bottom 4 inchs...open it up

the fold side to side...

fold up the bottom again and glue the edges and down the center
and you have a two pocket page.

cover every panel

with full sheets or scraps or both..

scraps..perfect.

then I glued in a hinge technique.

adding papers..

until they were all covered and I had a booklet with
pockets  and all in one so to speak.

Then the decorating which is always the best bit..
die cut stars, stickers, inking etc

Die cut  Anchor( He's a big one )..and layered up the ropes wrapped around it
a lighthouse sticker which is a little card itself leftover from the die cut panel to write on, I couldn't throw it away..

Front..

untied..different tie you will notice, a shoe lace wa sthe final cut.

first two pages..lots of ephemeras and die cuts..

lift up flap panel and pockets underneath..

old packaging covered and pocket made..

Flap lifted out..

Tags..

tags out..

Stickers and die cuts in other pocket..

tag out using scraps of leftover netting paper on the edges..

another tag with die cut waves and a boat.

Tag out and it is a shaker..

Tag inside pocket, and the stars have sticker in
their middle to brighten it up..

Tag out...more torn papers with book pages..

another pocket ( I know..lots of pockets )

2 tags with small tags

And back to the beginning..

so do come and join in with any masculine project you want

thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you again soon..

Just fabulous!! All of it! So beautifully designed, so many intricate details- it would take me a month of Sundays to make something anything like this!!! (and then I'd have to cheat and copy your ideas)) I honestly don't know how you find the time...do you sleep at all??? It's brilliant Chrissy.

Your nautical masculine booklet journal card is an absolute showstopper. The folded construction with all those pockets, hinges, and layered panels creates such an engaging, interactive piece, and every section is packed with texture and personality. The anchor with the wrapped rope makes a perfect bold focal point, and I love how you mixed stickers, die cuts, scraps, and ephemera without anything feeling crowded. The tags, shaker element, and clever use of leftover pieces give the whole project a wonderfully collected, story-filled feel. A fantastic interpretation of the theme and such an inspiring use of scraps and structure.

Wowsa!!! Magnificent masculine make, Chrissy! I am so impressed by the depths of your projects. All the detail and work you put into them truly pays off. I daresay though, I feel absolutely lazy in comparison.
