Hello everyone,
The sun is shinning today, the flood waters have gurled their way down the drain and into the soil, no longer a problem and I should be out tidying the yard, BUT..I hurt my back, do not know how, it is just lower back pain and difficult to walk sometimes, but it will move on like the rain, and I'll be fine.
Do you get mail in window envelopes ? we don't normally anymore but I did get my hands on one, so I recycled it...and I'm so sorry the photos are dark, I do edit but they still look so dark, anyway squint your eyes and it may look better..
So this is the envelope and I cut the front part off to make a flap.
Cut some busy patterned paper to slide inside..
and left the side slit open for now..
Then my Holtzy papers came out to play...
Cut up patch panels and popped them on..
the arrow showing the patterned paper inside..
nice and neat for me!! and time
to glue the side.
cut a notch too because a tag will go inside..
added loads of number stickers..
and made a tag, so when it goes inside the picture changes..
take it out and the patterned paper shows..
Here, the tag is inside..
it has a little eyelet and string to pull..
and a decorated the flap too with the same stickers as the tag..
and that's it, simple easy and fun..
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you soon..
luv CHRISSYxx

Lovely use of these envelopes, I love the papers, Tim does do best doesn't he but I hate to cut into them, haha. I love your creation Chrissy. xx

What great use of the window envelope Chrissy, love how you can make something so beautiful out of something so ordinary.
Sorry to hear about dodgy back- I know how horrible that feels! Be careful not to sit or stand in one position for too long and hope it feels better soon.
xx
Your recycled window envelope project is so clever and full of character, and I love how you turned a simple mailer into a layered piece with real movement and surprise. The way you cut the front to create a flap, slid the patterned paper inside, and kept the side open for the tag gives the whole design a playful interactive feel, and the Holtzy panels add such great texture. The number stickers, the notch, the eyelet, and the shifting scene when the tag moves all work together beautifully, and even the decorated flap ties everything together in a neat, cohesive way.
It seems so simple and we still receive such envelopes. Must give it a try sometimes. Till then I enjoy your beautiful makes. Hope your back will be better soon.
Very pretty, love all the papers you used, I get these all the time and use them as pockets and such in my junk journals, I have never made a flap like that though, neat idea, I will have to give that a try :)
fab and beautiful Chrissy..........gr karin
This is so so clever, love how you decorated and I LOL'd at "Holtzy". Heehee xoxo
I never would have thought to do that with one of those envelopes and have a whole pack here in the house!! Your added papers are gorgeous and I love how you let the window shine through! Perfect addition to any junk journal or a stand alone.
Great recycling and love what you made out of an ordinary envelope-love the tags and p, papers.
