My Free Day No,2

Hello Everyone....

OH! YUK!! daylight saving has started today, now I'm an hour behind the eight ball..going to take some getting used to....it is so foggy this morning [Sunday] that I cannot see the houses across the street...
I changed 'My Lady's' clocks when I left last evening, so she will be organised.. or not... this morning..lol..she is getting worse, the poor soul, so I would say she wont be around after Christmas, as her memory is shocking...."When did they changed to coins...are they legal tender"....try telling her 3 years ago all that happened.....I have made so many charts for her, now I will have to make one for the coins....at least she never attempts to turn anything on, I told her  if she does I will be out of a job and wont be able to come....now that sunk in at least....

Anyhoo, onto a card I made on my free day [Friday] for a challenge at Meljens Designs  and the theme there is "JUST BECAUSE"

Had an urge to go fancy, made a step card, I think you call it..

The beautiful Turtle from Meljen designs, coloured with pencils and copics....

There he is, inked the sky and the sentiment is from "Inspired Stamps" and I bent it over his shell before stamping it...to get the shape...

Meljen clouds, cuttlebug hearts, and memory box trees...

The flowers were a sheet of scrapbook stickers, cut in half and had the fence built into it, so really quite a quick card....

So there we go, a great day on Friday, two cards, I'm a happy camper....now the time has ticked by, time to go to 'My Lady'....then I'm semi free for the rest of the day....

On My Free Day

Hello Everyone.....

Back today with my card that I made yesterday for a challenge over at SATURATED CANARY  which is Office Supplies.....

Now, every class room had a class clown, and  probably every office had one too, I was one, and still am at times....[most times...] so that is where my card came from with this cute image called..
 'Frizzy Jinx'....from Saturated Canary.

Yep, there is one in every office..lol..

I used a manilla folder for the backing, as I dont have kraft, and the word office was already printed on the back of the folder, so there was a start...

Image coloured with copics and pencils, stapled and paper clipped together....papers were Authentique 'Comfort and Familiar"

A side view...a protractor tucked in the back..a clear stamp I have had forever, says life, and then used alphabet stamps to stamp the word 'memo' and another clear stamp with the words date:time:etc...and the edge was done with a hand held circle punch, then trimmed the holes to give the paper a ripped out edge...

Then of course had to make a wee note book...again alphabet stamps...

So yesterday was rather productive, had so much fun making this card...will have the other one tomorrow to share with you...

Mimi Winter - for Stampfairy

Hello Everyone...

WHOO HOO!!!....it is Friday [night for me]...and had a wonderful day...my client list was so short today, it was nearly non exsisted....now that is a good day...I spent it at home while the wind and rain took over the country and CRAFTED....'My Lady' didn't even want me to go to her at lunchtime as it was soooo wet, so all I had to do was ring her to make sure her lunch arrived...it had...and I was free till 2.30 when I picked up the boys and managed 2 cards which I will post tomorrow and Sunday for a challenge....so was that a good day or what?

But right now I'm here to share another new release from STAMPFAIRY  and this time it is...

MIMI WINTER 3........

There she is, little MIMI...

Coloured with copics and pencils this time, and added white dots to her scarf, a little strip of pom poms, nothing goes to waste, and some cuttlebug snowflakes, they are monster size.

There's a close up of image....with her pom pom on her hat, trimmed to fit, and glittery snow....

And the side view, all decorated inside too...papers are 'Pavlova'...

There is the whole sheet to gaze upon and your freebie down the bottom...snowballs.

Another gorgeous day here today...but it is turning...and I think instead of floating into Spring, we are going to stumble back into winter...

This is beautiful WINTERFAIRY TALVA  so very cute...

Coloured with copics and pencils...glossy accents on her wings, and my new snow...medium grade from a Co. called Sullivans in Australia...and I used it on her snow ball and under her feet..

Finally got my hands on some rose ribbon, very pretty stuff, and added some feathers and Marianne Design Snowflakes..all glittered up

Some clear glass balls, another new purchase, only $2 a tube, and there are heaps of them...

Autumn Colours - for CSD - New Challenge

Hello Everyone....

A new challenge is about to begin at CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS  and my favourite season..

                                  AUTUMN COLORS....is the theme this fortnight.

I love this card, everything went in the right place for me, no trouble at all...

The image is from Crafty Sentiments and called Lets Play Music ...she is a fabulous image to colour and have used her in the past......

The bale of straw she is sitting on, is off the net, and I just cut it out...

Close up of my girl...strumming away on her guitar, probably some romantic song.....

Coloured with Faber Castel pencils and my one red copic..

Fabulous papers from 'Crafters Choice' - Country Basics'

The leaves cut out with spellbinder dies, using DP's from my scrap box...and a cuttlebug die that came with the machine..love those too..never used it before.

And love that mesh stuff, found that at our local emporium, they are starting to step up with their crafts....and even managed to make a flower with it....

Bird Watching with MIM

Hello Everyone...

Did you all have a good weekend, and got all those nasty chores out of the way so you could have some fun time?

Well, I didn't play as such, but had a wonderful weekend with my G/sons painting the new fence...they were pooped after 1 hour..lol..but me!...well...I went for 6 hours, and kept going till I had finished..just have the inside edges to finish, but need a smaller brush, but it  looks really smart, will show some piccies soon.

Anyway...today is Monday and another linky party is about to start at MAKE IT MONDAY 

My card did not want to come together this time, and made several boo boo's...

My tree is suspended in mid air, I botched up the window sill, so covered it in glitter...but the paper pieced curtains worked well.and I made the brick wall under the window, at least I can now draw bricks..lol..

TOBY IS BACK!! - FOR STAMPFAIRY

Hello Again Everyone.....

Busy, busy Friday for me...and it is for TOBY BUSY WINTER 3  too...he has been out cutting down his Christmas tree...

 

There he is, carting his Christmas tree home, all coloured up with pencils, but his scarf with a red copic and white dots added with a white pen...

There's a close up of Toby...on his surf board of snow..lol..I didn't quite trim the image enough, and he looks like he is floating..oh! dear...

There's the side view, and the papers are 'Authentique' - Comfort and Familiar' [love the greys]

Your freebie this week is the snow with the fork in it, which I fussy cut out and glittered up the snow.

Trip around the World with Fussy and Fancy..

Hello Everyone...

 A trip around the world...I wish....that would suit me just right about now...I've only ever been to Australia, and said I would never want to travel, but the bug bit me, and would love to fly off somewhere.....how about ...JAPAN...

A new challenge at FUSSY AND FANCY  and this time we would like to see................

                                   "TRIP AROUND THE WORLD"

My image is from Digi with Attitude - "GEISHA" - and alas they have closed down...

Coloured with pro markers [badly] and pencils for her skin then added glitter to her Kimono,and  glossy accents in her hair....

I used a travel DP paper on the inside,  and the papers on the front are from Dora...Oriental papers of course, that was what gave me the idea for this Japanese lass...

I had...somewhere...a set of suitcases 3D stickers,that I was going to pop onto the front, but they are hiding, and will probably find them once this has posted...isn't that the way...as Fussy and Fancy would really like to see a travel theme..I have reached my destination, and put my suitcases away...as I didn't read the theme properly [smack my hand]...so head over to the FUSSY AND FANCY BLOG  and you can read the proper way to make your card..lol..

A unicorn, an Elf and a sketch -for Flutter By Wednesdays

Hello Everyone......

We have a new challenge starting over at FLUTTER BY WEDNESDAYS  and it is a sketch...eeek...and if you know me, I freeze when it comes to sketches...but check it out...

And designed by our very own KATHY  super easy, and a lot of fun..it will be on the main blog.

For my card this week I went all Mythical...found this gorgeous image and just had to colour it up in unusal colours, all purple and green with sparkle and shine...

Coloured with pencils and the flowers with a red copic...

I even managed a fancy edging with a Fiskars punch..
Papers were from MME - "Howdy Doody"....
The purple fibre ribbon from DORA  ....

There is a side view...decorated inside as well...

BULL DOG AND A BEAR -MIM

Hello Everyone....Ti's Monday again, can you believe how fast the time is going...dosen't bother me in the slightest as I'm organised for anything....but the weekend wants to go just as fast as the week, and that does bother me...I feel we should have 3 day weekends and then I could get just a bit more done while I'm at home and squeeze n a Nana nap..I missed mine this weekend....never mind...at least when Monday gets here,  so does  MAKE IT MONDAY  now that is something to smile about....

The Design team were given some very cute images to play with and I chose......

I love this image, so much fun to colour and load up with papers..which were from 'Authentique' -'Endless and Fair Weather' pad...love that pad to, which sadly is coming to an end...

Coloured with pencils, and did layers...finally fitted some onto a card.

Ribbon from my stash, made a loop of ribbon at the top, as I had a scrap left and just could not throw it away.

Time for a challenge

Hello Everyone......it is Sunday morning, fairly early,and the sun is peeping out over the houses across the street and yet drizzling with rain on this side...Spring eh! ..very unpredictable...but very pretty with the blossoms on the trees, and nearly finished the stoned garden area, life couldn't get much better..
My poor dog Harry is confused yet again, he has been told so many times 'dont pee on my stones' around the front, they have nearly all gone and they are around the back, so he is told 'dont pee on the grass, go pee there'..poor boy..

But he is getting used to my reconstruction of the yard, one day I will get it all finished and organised and he can pee where ever he wants.

So, Sunday morning, I still cant print anything out, so thank goodness for rubber stamps....found a challenge I wanted to play in so out came pre stamped Tilda from CLAIRE'S CANDY  so I could join in the challenge at TILDA'S TOWN  [Autumn Colours]

Too cute...the bench seat was a clear stamp from Country Companions "Lovers Lane", stamped and coloured with pencils then fussy cut out...

The paper, Bo Bunny "Country Garden " from my candy win from SUE that came the other day, gorgeous pad..

A close up of image and a hessian flower with pearl brad that I made...

And a side view...the leaves were Spellbinders dies, and Tilda coloured with pencils...

So that is me for an early Sunday morning...off to see 'My Lady'...make sure everything is ok there, then hopefully I can have a play inside till I go back and see her again at lunchtime...she is being so good...sticking to all the rules, which is all so new for her, and I made her a daily  calendar so she turns it every morning, then the day and date stay in her mind...so much easier than telling her at least 15 times in my hour what the day is..working well, just like the key!!

Hello Everyone.....'yay' it's Friday....and just had to share that little rhyme with you, as it went round and round in my head while I made this weeks card for STAMPFAIRY  it seemed only fair to share..

A new image this week, again, such a cutie from Gerda...

A Gingerbaby 7  and so much fun to colour, really easy...coloured with my pencils and added puff paint for his icing trim...

And the side view..the papers were a freebie from a magazine "Forever Friends"...the flowers from WOC and glittered up. and the little gold sprouts were from a dried Christmas arrangement, which now looks a bit worse for wear...LOTV sentiment, my favourite Christmas sentimnets from last year..and then a red gingham ribbon to finish off..

So theres the new release for this week and now for something different...

A couple of weeks ago I won Susans candy, and it arrived today...

Yummy....Thank you so much Susan, I will get rotten teeth, but I'll have a fabulous play with my new stuff while I'm munching..I'm so lucky, thankyou.

The other thing to share just for fun...is under my clothesline in the winter, I get no sun...at all...the grass is always wet and soggy and slimy....

So I decided to start digging it out and filling it with stones from around the other side.......

Today...half of it done..phew...that was tough going, but I had an early day today, so thought I would put it to good use before the summer comes....so at least I will be ready for next winter..lol..

Favourite colour with Flutter By Wednesday

Hello Everyone....Our weather for spring has turned to custard...the temp has plummeted, and all our little spring lambs will suffer....roads have been closed with snow, it is just awful. I dont get snow here where I live, as we are too close to the Sea, but it snowed out in the back hills and the wind chill is freezing...YUK!!...

But, all that aside, today at Flutter By Wednesdays   we start a new challenge and this week we have..

"Your Favourite Colour"....and mine is Yellow, I love yellow, and one of the hardest colours to get a really lovely DP....but I did find this one and used half of it once before...
