Hope you are all well and happy and enjoying nice weather..our rain has just stopped, 3 weeks of it, which of course made the farmers happy as they always suffer through the dry winter which makes our very hot and sticky Summer unbearable..
I purchased some very cool MDF shapes, seahorse, Anchor, [coming up next]..and went straight back to the Renmy Store and bought more as they were fabulous and fun..
So here is my seahorse and I started gluing down tabs off the cans
I found these stars at a local shop called Uncle Bills and was thrilled with them [and a trailer load of other stuff, just sayin']
These stars were just right to place on his fins...
I also made a huge amount of air dry clay square tiles..
and glued them on his belly along with tiny nuts from the hardware dept..
I needed my stars to be thicker so found a star die which I used as it fit really well and cut out 4 for each star and glued them altogether..
I gave him a nut for his eye, but it was not working too good..
So die cut out a gear a few times and added the nut onto that..much better..
Along his back I added more cogs cut in half for more of a scale look...
When dry, I painted him all black, 3 times.
Colour time..I went with pink...purple pink using Nuvo embellishment mousse..
Added gold mousse too, then, splattered him with black ink..
His splatters faded a bit but you can still see them IRL..
There is his back edge with his layers of gold and copper mouse..
And there he is in all his glory..my Seahorse.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I will see you soon..
