Hello everyone..
I'm off the couch and every muscle I own and a few more which were not there the other but are there now, hurt..I did too much..but hopefully when I'm finished it will even up the space..then I can go up to the beach and gets some stones to finish..talking of the beach, brings me to my nautical project today..
My mixed media Anchor
So I purchased these MDF board shapes online and [ like the Seahorse] changed then up a bit..after adding modelling paste as my glue then covered all of this Anchor with these stones..
Making sure every inch of it was covered and pressed it down firmly...
Then sprinkled on brown glitter to fill the tiny gaps and plus.. I love a good sparkle..
Then painted it all black..bye bye glitter..
Oh, there is some still poking through..
Time to spray..this is fast and so satisfying.. instant colour and happiness..
I had already sorted my embellishments out...
Tied the ribbons and twine through the top..
Added my adorable turtle that I actually bought at the local book shop..along with baby blue pearls shells and flowers..
This shows the colours of the stones after spraying....
And here is the end result..what fun this was to make and cannot wait to do another, but first I need to try slimline cards so they will be popping up soon.
Thanks so much for stopping by..

Absolutely brillaitn my friend! I love the stones and that you've added the glitter to fill in the left over cracks! Yes, the paint somewhat dulls that sparkle, but you can always add it back in too! :) I see you've used the Dulusions sprays for the color, but did you seal this project when you finished it? If so, did it affect the coloring? I love this! Thanks for the inspiration! HUGS

I love to see how these projects of yours come to, with photos from start to finish. I think the brown stones were beautiful as they were. But seeing them covered up in black and with sprays, they are even more beautiful. Gorgeous end result.
