BACKGROUNDS AND DAISIES..

Hello everyone..

I made a few backgrounds the other day for the sole purpose of using my new daisy die set..

I wanted to die cut them out and then I new I didn't want to use papers, so I made my own backgrounds, with paste, stencils, sprays, and stamping through the negative of the die cut..

First I had to cut out my new daisy and put the layers together, not hard, but fiddly..

I made three stenciled with modelling paste panels..

and sponged pale grey ink through the negative of my daisy..

Sprayed and grunged a couple of panels..

Added my Daisies and made 4 cards, sympathy cards,

I love this background and when the light hits it, it has such a lovely glimmer..

I enjoyed making this back ground with the negative die cut..

This was a relatively new stencil and sponged with yellow...

This one was done with my brick stencil the sort of grunged up a bit with my Grey ink, but still makes a lovely Sympathy card.

So there we go, the dies were from Altenew, they don't come with a stamp just the dies, and I LOVE it and going to make more like this as they sell really well..

So there we go, our clocks went forward this morning, not too worried this year as I do not have to go out to work, and slept on merrily and quite content to 8.30am..

Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you in a couple of days..

  7. I think daisies are such a happy flower! You've done an amazing job with your sympathy designs here and I love the dimension you've created with your flowers along with the coloring! The brick background is probably one of my faves! :)

  8. WOW, all beautiful cards. This is going on my wishlist for sure. I love your varied backgrounds and how they give the flowers completely different looks. I have one of the Altenew flower dies, you have inspired me to give it a go. Hope you are doing well, Chrissy!

  9. These are so lovely, Chrissy - the daisies are really pretty, and I love the subtle variations with the sombre, but not too sombre, colour tones for the backgrounds. That first one with the textured squares is wonderful. Sadly, I've needed a couple of sympathy cards lately - these would have fitted the bill beautifully.

  13. It’s really clever to make ca da in batches like this. They’re similar in layout, but not identical. I tend to forget about doing this, though I try. I like them all, but especially the one made with the negative die cut used as stencil. I like how the background and flowers match.
