Hello everyone,
Time for a new challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON and our lovely Imke is hostess and her theme is...ONE LAYER.
Yikes, one layer to me is the same as clean and simple...but I did it..
I starred at my mothers day daffodils in winter for quite awhile, then it came..
My favourite floral stamp from Simon says stamp..it is
huge and goes over the edges of an A2 card.
and stained as I used it so much..
But it stamps beautifully and after stamping I embossed it then
stamped a sentiment for a sympathy card..then made six more.
I started to colour by using a stamp pad and water brush. but didn't like it.
So ended up with seven in the end..
Come on over
and join us wont you..
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I'll see you tomorrow..
Luv CHRISSYxx
They are beautiful Chrissy. I also like the uncoloured ones most.

ReplyDeleteHi Chrissy I love your Daffodils they look lovely in the sunshine, I also love that stamp I can see why you have used it so much, some of mine are that colour, I should clean them but seem to get caught up with other things, I love how you have used the stamp at the corner and added the sentiment they are a great set you did well because I was wondering what you were going to do when you said one layer, lol, but you did it well done

I was wondering how you'd handle one layer, Chrissy. These are every bit as elegant and pretty as your 'normal' layered creations. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards Chrissy - lovely design

Hi Chrissy .I think that the image uncoloured is so perfect for a sympathy card .
ReplyDeleteLove that stamp, beautiful one layer cards and I do like them uncoloured too. xx
ReplyDeleteChrissy, these elegant one layer cards are gorgeous, I prefer the uncoloured version too. xx
ReplyDeleteWell done you on the one layer and beautiful cards. x
ReplyDeleteThis challenge scared me to, Chrissy!😂 Your cards a beautiful, so elegant. I agree the black and white is the one, simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour daffodils do look very inspiring Chrissy! that is such a beautiful SSS stamp set with that large flower! I think this set you've made is gorgeous and the flower looks great both ways! Perfect for sympathy cards!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the all-knowing daffs! They do look gorgeous enough to radiate creativity. I had to chuckle at the thought of you and only one layer, but you pulled it off brilliantly. I also have another of Simon's huge floral stamps and thank you for the ideas...because the stamps are quite huge but in a world of Chinese knock-offs being so tiny they're hard to see, very refreshing! Have a good weekend, xoxo
ReplyDeleteI do like the big stamps that you can stamp in different ways to get different looks out of one stamp set :). Bummer the coloring didn't work for you but they do look great in black and white!
ReplyDeleteSeven cards - wowzers! (We'll just ignore the other one....though I'm really glad you posted it, "hmmm...maybe nots" are definitely a part of crafting!) Lovely sympathy cards. Simple and classy!
ReplyDeleteOne layer and Chrissy do not belong in the same sentence BUT you nailed it girl!! xx
ReplyDeleteDaffodils are my favourite flower! Yours are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely, too. I like the one with colour although the black and white are fabulous as well!
