Hello everyone,
Hope all is well where ever you are and hope you can come join me in a new challenge over at ..
LITTLE RED WAGON where Kate is our fabulous hostess this week and her theme is " ACTION "..
anything that moves or an image of something that moves, vehicles, animals planes etc..you get the gist..
now I'm hoping my video plays, I had it going last time, then it stopped, so I have my fingers toes legs arms crossed that I have it organized this time. ..
This project all started when I was given boxes with clear window in front and sandwiches and savouries were delivered in them to my sons store as they won ( Again) customers service awards and were treated to a morning tea...
So my idea was to threading string through the box with a stopper,
here I use a piece of toothpick after
Threaded it right across and through a hole at the other end and another stopper.
Then using these fabulous scrapbook papers and I made a background scene..
See..
Then I started filling it with water colour moon and a Santa sleigh flying across it..
trees and snow banks..
and with the lid in place I decorated right around the edges with die cut fir branches..
I'm so sorry it is so dark, I don't know why it did that but I think it has something to do with those papers, they are very dark and a lot of pink tone in them..
I made a wagon which you can see here and that was it really.
I pulled the string and the wagon glided across through the snow and wow that was neat....but something was missing..
How could a wagon ride on its own, I needed something to pull it but had nothing big enough.
and Holly was not interested in being stuffed inside the box to pull my wagon although that tail was tempting dangling in front of my die storage....very tempting if I was three.
ENTER TEMU..
I found this wonderful and quite large deer die on Temu, he was also facing the right way, most of my deer were too small and facing the wrong way, this guy was perfect..
So I coloured him up and attached the wagon to his hip.
This shows the scale of the thing on top of my book case which is about thee feet wide.
Okay, here we go, the video is below to show it working..I'm so nervous..
So there we...do come and join us HERE
Thank you so much for stopping by, hope the video worked..
I'll see you tomorrow..

Your video says unavailable but it's a very pretty project in pictures. I'm clearly confused about the string, I'd just have threaded the dies through the string and moved them along with me fingers, haha. Love how you can make something out of anything, xoxo
ReplyDeleteI am so beyond impressed with your fabulous display. It's incredible and I love how the deer and wagon move along. How wonderful to reuse a box from your son's store (and congrats to him!). Lovely that Holly's gorgeous tail made the blog post even if she wasn't impressed with your work this time.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, Chrissy. What a beautiful scene you've created and on such a perfect scale.
