Touch and Feel

Hello Everyone,

Well with blogger being a cabbage again, I did not think I would get here today, BUT.. I did, and here we go.

Try to keep it short and to the point, as I have a few photos.

A client has a daughter who is visually impaired, and loves to touch, and feel textures, and I was asked if I  could  make her a Birthday card, that involves the touch/feel thing....so I thought about glitter and stuff like that, and while surfing the net came across this freebie from Anne Fenton and totally feel in love, AND, had a brain storm. [did you here the thunder]

I thought of some crafty stuff in my draw, and one thing led to another...so here we go.

A cute little monkey.............The girl's name is MARIE..and her Dad calls her MONKEY FACE..hence the monkey had to be used.

Had the fur in my draw, and that thought came pretty quickly...something to feel...

Made an easel, so when it stood up she could feel the textures on the side of the card, which are cuttlebug hearts in vellum and scraps from the papers I used, just layered them on the side.

A gingham flower, I made that with spellbinders scallop circle dies, out of some mores scraps, as the green was very much the same as the leafy papers.

Last one, a side view, and all sides have been decorated, AND gently rubbed with vanilla...so she can smell it.

Her Mum was very happy with it, and "monkey face" will get it today, so I was able to post it here AND, enter a challenge at Cupcakes Crafts  and they want to see 'Things with tails" so hope I'm in time.

Thanks everyone for stopping by, and another new follower, thank you so much for joining me here,
I just cannot see any of my beautiful people at the moment, blogger wont let me..but you are all gorgeous, and love the hear from you.

Luv CHRISSYxx

Too weird! My daughter's call ed Maria, and we used to call her monkey face, and now, she seems to have a theme of monkey pictures in her toddler son's room, which is nice, lovely card and very cute monkey!!

Hi Chrissy. I so agree about blogger this week. I need to play catch up with everyone for this last week as I was just too tired to do much more that work with the kids on their projects and go to bed after work. Your card is just wonderful and I love all the details you put into it so that Marie can get the best enjoyment out of it. Totally adorable! Have a great weekend. Hugs, Lisa
