More Mice

Hello Everyone,

Well, the saga of the missing mouse continues, but I know where he went....

I placed a small box in the bottom of the bath with peanut butter inside...he went in....I picked up the box....but before I could shut the flap , he came charging out, gnashing his teeth and growling.[mmm]

So I promptly dropped the box back in the bath, and stood and watched him scrapping up the sides to get out. He then used his brain, and hopped on top of the box and took a flying leap, but just didnt make it.

So I left him in piece, and went out......Okay...came home...no mouse...BUT...I knew he was in the box....so got a bigger box and very carefully picked up the small box to put in the big box.....and the damn tab broke...tipped the small box...out came the mouse, who landed in the big box....but once again that little sucker was so quick, and before I could shut the flaps...he was up the side...over the side....ran up my arm...leapt over my shoulder...onto the floor...and up the hall under the fridge....

Well, I'm positive he got the deep fryer out last night and cooked a feed, has put on at least 10pound,stomps all over the house, grown long hairs, and is possibly rabid at this stage.

I used a long glass vase, 5" in diameter. more peanut butter, and laid it down right close to the fridge.
At least now I can see him if he comes out....I placed a sheet of cardboard at the entrance of the vase leaning on the fridge ....and waited.....and waited.......at about 4.30pm...he stuck his nose out...I never moved. He ran down the vase to the peanut butter, I pushed the cardboard down over the entrance...tipped the vase upright...GOT HIM...he cant climb up glass..HaHa...caught this huge monstrous, flesh eating, floor stomping, animal...oh!! wait...he was so tiny, and so scared, so I took him outside, a long way from my door and let him go...he turned and waved, and scuttled off...

What a drama queen......................

Settled down and made a card for a challenge at Winter Wonderland  [trim the tree] and it was mice..

Gorgeous stamp from Penny Black [sharing Christmas] coloured with pencils and sponged inks. Added tiny gold stars, LOTV sentiment, and went crazy with paint, Dazzling Metalics, in white pearl and gold, around the edges, first time I've done that I think.
Used some gold fibre around the edge...done.

So the saga is over, I'm so much more relaxed, guess my imagination was working overtime...just a tad.

Have a great week, will catch you all later..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Hi Chrissy, love your card, great colours and wonderful image especially after your mouse problem. They come in side to keep warm this time of year and my mother always said" THERE'S NEVER JUST ONE MOUSE IN THE HOUSE THERE WILL BE TWO". Keep looking and laying your trap you might be surprised. Take care and happy hunting.

Love your card...and your mouse tale! I caught a mouse once in one of those "humane" traps (using peanut butter) took him down the park to set him free...and as he jumped from the trap into the grass...a kookaburra swooped down and gobbled him up; I couldn't believe it!! My husband says at least it was nature at play, that's not how I felt! Dee

hahahahha... oh my gawd Chrissy, I laughed at your story and I do believe you... he was as big as kangaroo!
I had to come back - I'd read a couple earlier posts, one where pup was under the curtain and that giant creature was poking out of the tub drain. Anyway, I couldn't stand it, I thought, I have to find out about the mouse! I am so happy you turned him out - I hate those buggers but I couldn't kill one either.
Anyway, on to the card.. your card is fabulous! You've coloured it beautifully and I love, love, love those papers and layout.
