MODERN TECHNOLOGY

Hello Everyone...

Was not going to pop back tonight, but while I can get on blogger, thought I would swing by with another card I made...but first...a story.

I have always taught my G/sons, that you never throw anything away until you are absolutely sure it is no good...so , yesterday after school, they came scooting up the drive yelling out to me.....Nana... come and look what we have got..

So out I go with potato peeler in hand, and out of Zachs bag came this...

The boys found it on the side of the road...someone put it out there just hoping that another someone would take it..

Now, I'm no technological genius, but to me, before I demolished this, looked like a modem...a portable one, so screw drivers in hand, I pulled it apart  and made this...

A card for a couple of challenges, and could not have arrived at a better time...

Crafty cardmakers  [masculine birthday - technology/gadgets]

Kenny K  [Birthday]

Kenny K image called Teen Idol  ..isn't he great, I love this image...

Coloured with pencils and his pants and shirt were paper pieced..and some doodling around the edge..

The tiny scews came out of the back of the modem...

And the side view...

Wont be posting this card through the mail as it weighs a bit..lol....

This card came together so quickly, and really enjoyed making it and showing it..

Off to link it up, thanks for stopping by, will see you tomorrow..yay, and it's Friday tomorrow....but oh! dear....such a big day..I'll be pooped by 7pm...

Luv CHRISSYxx

OMG Chrissy, where to start!! The use of the broken modem is a true stroke of card-makers genius and no doubt, I can honestly say I would never have thought to do that in a month of Sunday's! So bravo to you for your stroke of creative genius. As for the image itself, love love love what you have done with it. The colouring alone is worthy of comment but the paper piecing is brilliant, I make tonnes of cards with Kenny images and I know how much thought it takes to have to think in advance to print the image again onto different papers so well done there. Your choices of papers used are beautiful, they really balance a superb card, they give the background loads of room to breath, all in all one of my favourite cards ever, well done.
Thank you ever so much for joining us over at the Kenny K Krafty Krew challenge, good luck and I hope we see a load more of your work in the future,
Andy
