MY FIRST BENDY FOLD CARD

Hello Everyone....Oooo...hot and sticky today...and had a wandering Lady too...

On Wednesday night one of the Ladies I take care of put a denim skirt on over top of her PJ's and went wandering down her stairs [15 of them] and into the street and went to the neighbours and asked them to ring a taxi to take her home...lol...oh dear!...

Fortunately they knew her from way back and made her a cuppa then took her home and made sure she locked the glass door and watched her go back up the stairs which must have taken ages as she is usually bed ridden..she does not remember a thing..even the stern talking to her about stranger danger has not registered, so I guess it wont be long and she will be off into care...

I have made my first Bendy fold card following a tutorial by Cheryl Walker ...and it was a lot of fun...made numerous mistakes, but hopefully have learned from them all...

This is the front of the card...closed....

The first flap opened.......

The second flap opened.....

Now there were a lot of mistakes...like,I wish I had fenced all the way along....forgot to add yellow in the lantern.....should have glued two snowflakes together ,so when the card opened it looked the same inside as outside...same with the trees...but all in all,I am really happy with it...

The last photo,I have added the yellow to the lantern and splashed snow[paint] all over the place...

The moon I made with spellbinders circle and edged it in distress inks...

Santa's sleigh and reindeer from my local craft shop...Cheery Lyn die, the lady cut them out and bagged them up...so naturally I bought a bag.

Snow flakes are Magnolia and cuttlebug...Marianne trees..Lamppost...fence.

The gorgeous image is from Mo's Digital Pencils "Urchin & Bird"..printed out onto Kraft, and fussy cut out and the only colour is her cheeks.

Papers MME glittered stack.

I think that is all...thanks ever so much stopping by, and big welcome to my new follower Debbie Fisher.

AND!!!!!..it's FRIDAY NIGHT HERE...time for the chocolate...strawberry cream tonight..mmm...

See you tomorrow.

Luv CHRISSYxx

Wow Chrissy this is gorgeous I can't see any mistakes so obviously you did'nt make any lol. Your story about your old lady made me smile not funny really just reminded me of our youngest daughter Sarah when she was small and her dad was in the Navy and when he was away she used to sleep walk taking her quilt with her had to put a bolt at top of door where she couldn't reach as I found her a couple of times out on the driveway quilt an all fast asleep like a little door mouse. Bless. Love Alison xxx

Chrissy, I am so very glad your lady was well cared for by those she sought out and was taken back home safely. In todays world that could have went very differently.

Had you not said you had made mistakes....know one would have known. It is simply lovely. We are always our own worst critics.
Hugs,
Cynthia

Hi Chrissy. Chrissy posted a link to your card on her blog and I popped over to see.http://trulychrissyxx.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/happy-times.html

Great card hon.I love all of your details and I would not have spotted the "mistakes" unless you so blatantly pointed them out. LOL I do have to agree with the addition of yellow. The last pic showed a real difference.

You both are inspiring me to give this a try. I'll let you know how it turns out. Hugs
