MY FIRST PROPER VINTAGE CARD

Hello Everyone.... Saturday afternoon and it is Art Deco Weekend here in Napier New Zealand..

All the lovelies are parading around in fur stoles..gorgeous dresses and posh hats and the blokes look mighty dapper too....their Vintage cars are polished within an inch of their life..and the old steam train is running the tracks blowing his whistle and letting off steam and over head the old planes are swooping and looping...and I'm sitting inside out of the sun doing nothing..my day off and will spend it just how I need to...lol..not the whole day as I still go out and do my personal cares but it's a relaxing time in between..

Onto my card for today...and must admit I'm so very proud of this one....have attempted many times to make a vintage card and was just never happy with them..but today..wel..I'm a happy camper..

I found this gorgeous image in my files and sorry cannot remember where she came from but probably the Graphic Fairy..

I used fabulous Prima Papers -En Francis Collection...new they would come in handy one day..

Vintage lace from 'My Lady' and a strip of tatting too...flowers from WOC...Cameo from my win from Susan's Candy [a long long time ago..]...Kaisercraft doily nestled behind spellbinders cirlce die and  pearls added around the edge....

All the edges have been distressed and inked..the sentiment tickets I made myself on the pc and cut and inked them..

The beautiful chipboard butterfly I found in Australia last year at the craft show..

WOC metal corner embellie was pressed into versamark embossing ink and then cover with embossing powder and the lonely blue flower is purple in real life.

A close up of the Cameo and sentiment tickets...but I felt it needed something else...soooo...

I added pearls around the Cameo for a frame..

What a shame the rose has changed colour..looks so lovely on my dresser with the purple...

A close up of the beautiful Lady...

Thanks so very much for stopping by and letting me waft on..lol..

Hope your weekend is going great...

Going to enter into these challenges..

What is so much fun is seeing how you had the cameo first and then seeing the change and WOW..that was the perfect addition to really make it pop! Hi Chrissy. I think this card is just GORGEOUS! You truly did a fantastic job on it,and I just love how all the elements you put together make your card look just as fancy as her dress. Sounds like such a great day there with all the people looking their best and driving old cars while the train wistle blows. I can just imagine it. Oh how I would so enjoy that. :0) I just think that would be a wonderful way to spend a day. Hope you are well my friend. I miss blogging and I am so hoping our lives get back to normal soon. Hugs for you and Harry. Lisa
