Hello everyone...
Welcome to my Winter Wonderland post and time for a new challenge and this time the theme is all about the out doors.. " OUTDOOR FUN " chosen by my team mate Marlene.
We are sponsored by Dr.Digi's House of Stamps and the team were able to choose an image to use, and I think I caused some confusion...but over here in New Zealand we are in Summer at Christmas and I had a story to share and this image was perfect..
This is Angling Andy and NOT a Christmas image, but I changed that for me and my story..
We had some friends and every Christmas Colin wanted to go fishing...he was not into Christmas a bit of a bah humbug...
He usually got his own way and off he would go..I felt for his wife so we came up with a plan.
We had to get help of course and all the help we had did a great job..
The river was through a farming property..[number one accomplice]..and he made the " No fishing on Christmas day" sign for us and placed it right where he knew Colin would go to fish..or pretty close to it.
Another friend made a heap of Christmas hats [ number two Accomplice and we bought quite a few from the $2 shop..these were weighted down with sinkers from [Accomplice number three] and he got wet doing it..lol..and lots of smallish rocks, not too heavy though.
We all knew exactly where Colin would go and we knew exactly how he fished..so we just stayed at home and waited..
Well, aside from the fact he did catch several fish, he also caught a few hats..it was so funny and he was really great about it all...when he saw the sign, he told us he had to scratch his head a bit and had a think..but fished anyway..
And, yes he was back there many times and again at Christmas..can you guess where this card will go this year..lol..
I added a bit of snow on the rivers edge and the sign post and of course a sprinkling of snow through the sky....all the hats were stamped , coloured and fussy cut out..the background done with paints and markers for the grass...
So do come and join us at Winter Wonderland with your " OUTDOOR FUN" cards and projects as long as they are Christmas you are good to go..
Thanks so much for stopping by..I'll see you tomorrow..

This card demonstrates exactly what I love about handmade cards. Not in a million years would you be able to get a store bought card with this theme. A card can’t get any more personalized than this and I’m betting the receiver will get a good laugh about it too. Great story and card.
Chrissy your card is great and so is that story. Your card is just too funny.
A brilliant card for a brilliant story --how personalised is that???
