FAIRY DOOR..

Hello Everyone..

A big post today, although I did condense pictures into panels with three to lighten the post up a bit..

I had an urge to have fairies and mushrooms and nuts, berries and flowers....so
I did..

A chocolate box....empty of course, and I started to add masking tape to cover....not neat, all scrunched up and twisted...not forgetting the wood knots.

Then came the painting process..about five different shades of brown, ochre, red brown, choc brown and a bit of black..

The inside was just painted with the same colours and the night sky was painted with royal blue and black paint mixed..then dragon flies were die cut with a background I made using Distress oxide sprays..

Leaves and dragon flies added to the front...

And on the inside as well...plus a green moss hill and some stars...the moon was die cut and glued on..

Then....it just needed something else...

So I brought out my little Fairy dolls, just on an inch tall...and some acorns and berries..I gave one fairy a pearl ball to hold while the other fairy let hers go and it is floating up...

Then came berries, pine cones, orbs and glass baubles...

And of course the toadstools, die cut out and coloured with pencils with Nuvo drops added..

The whole inside was sprayed with shimmer spray..it closes up perfectly too..

So there we go, I was very entertained making this project as I love fantasy stuff..

Thanks so much for stopping by and I will you soon..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Such a wonderful project Chrissy, I love the idea of a door opening onto the magical fairy world your imagination and crafting skills have created here. Who would have thought that this beautiful work of art started life as an empty chocolate box!! All I can say is eat more chocolates and create more of them.
