A MIXED MEDIA NOTE BOOK COVER..

Hello everyone..

Today I'm sharing a step by step mixed media cover for a note book..and I started with cardboard..a cut up cardboard box..

This is another piece of card board as I forgot to photograph the first one..so I'm sharing between 2 projects..

Painted with white Gesso...twice.

Then added torn up papers and random lacy die cuts..

Some leaves, oval die cut and more oddments...lace and a pearl trim.

Flowers, an earring, bobbles, and a frame just slap it all on randomly..

Then painted the whole thing again with Gesso....and didn't like it.

So I slathered modelling paste all over just with a spatula

when dry[ didn't take long]..the fun stuff started, my Kaiser mists.. gorgeous colours.

Sprayed all over the outside and inside..

A close up..even the pearl trim takes sprays and gets covered..

I added a resin oval frame in the middle which did make a difference and sort of finished it off after it got a coating of Nuvo mousse ...

So did everything else, I love that stuff and cannot wait until my new colours come..

A close up of the frame from The Resin Embellishment shop..

And there she is in all her glory with a note pad stuck inside already to take notes and write in, but I cant...it's too pretty.

So there we go, thank you so much for stopping by, I'm off to make more cogs..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Hi Chrissy, this is absolutely fabulous, I love what you have done it will make a great cover. You know I am just waiting on a note book I ordered for a cover I made last week, nothing as fancy as this, but I found a piece of paint pouring I had done in 2019 and had to find a use, usually I would just make the insert but really cannot be bothered...xx
