LEAVES OR TREES..

 Hello everyone..

Back to share my efforts using leaf dies to make trees and free hand drawn trees, and even a flower die, then water coloured them all..

These are my free hand drawn trees, simple triangles with a trunk, loved every minute of doing these, the stuck them down onto masking tape, sticky side up, and proceeded to water colour..

Three colours, lime green, brown, and navy blue..

My set of water paints...

And almost finished trees..

Then I thought to use a flower die to make trees like I used to draw in primary school..lol..

And they painted up real nice too..

Why stop there? I found this tiny Spellbinders leaf die in my stash of dies and cut one at a time through my baby die cutting machine until I had heaps..

Added one on top of the other which almost made poplar trees..almost!.

A bit closer...

Time for the glitter treatment using a very glass like crunchy glitter..can't remember what is was called..something to do with diamonds.

So here they are all dry...

I also made three Oxide ink blended background and getting better and better at doing this..I only used one ink to do it which was Chipped Sapphire and just let it fade out..then splattered them all with water to make blotches in the background, such a fun bit.

And made my first card using my backgrounds and trees...

The trees showed up so nicely against the background and snowbanks..

Some nice dimension...

A side view...

Another side view..the gnomes were a freebie off the net..

So there we go, I have three more projects using the rest of the trees so I may be back tomorrow to share those...

Thanks so much for stopping by..

Your trees look amazing Chrissy, love how you think outside the box and get extra use of your dies and I'm always impressed by how cleverly you paint or ink your die cuts. The backgrounds are beautiful- you are so good at the blending and fading to get such a great result using just one colour ink.
The finished card is gorgeous!
