Hello everyone,
I have been playing again with my water colours and water colour papers and then my die cuts..
Such good days when I can do this, just makes me happy...
This time I used this little sponge for something different and it gave different texture, I liked it a lot..
Each time it dried I sponged it again until I had the colour I wanted..
I did the same with the leaves paper and splattered them with white ink..
All glued together and ready to go..
I remember this border edge technique from a long time ago, it just popped in my head while I was doing something somewhere and stayed there in my head until I got home and could do it..funny how that happens..hope I didn't shout it out like I did once before in the supermarket and nearly frightened an old lady to death..
So I made the panels and edged then with this border edge die then added foam tape under the smaller one....
Fun thing to do and looks really nice..
Placed all the flowers, leaves and sentiment...
And picked this set up at Spotlight..so added the purple one here and there..
This card I used corner die cuts and gems, two layers, and,
Sent to Margreet..
With the few flowers leftover, and normally, as it goes, they are the smaller ones..
I made a smaller card...with leftover big flowers!!!
Gems and splatters...
And done..
So there we go..now I'm out of lavender card stock,
what a shame I will have to go shopping..
Thank you so much for stopping by..
See you soon..
Luv CHRISSYxx

Beautiful cards Chrissy, I love to see how things come together,{and since you first mentioned using white ink I have and its brilliant,} far better than my old acrylic paints. I love the colours and the little border is so pretty.xx

Love how you did the flowers and leaves, I need to do big sheets like that too, so fun putting those together, I had to laugh about yelling out when you remembered the border technique, I often wonder how much I talk out loud when I am at the craft store wondering if I should get something or not, LOL!
Both cards are just gorgeous and that is a neat border treatment you did there, I don't think I have seen that before!
Don't you hate it when you have to go shopping (not in my wildest dream). This is gorgeous, purple seems to be my color of the year, so this really appeals to me. Love the design too.
Stunning card!Thank you for joining us over Clever Dexter Challenge. Good luck!
The sponging looks great Chrissy, very 1980's. I hated the tiles in the bathroom of our first house and sponged them with emulsion which actually lasted remarkably well!! Glorious cards, as always, and what a fabulous array of gems xx
Chrissy, this is absolutely brilliant! Really love the purple color of course, but I especially love the added splatters over your design! Such an elegant and stunning layout! So glad you were able to join in the fun with us at CUYL!!! HUGS
They're both gorgeous Chrissy!
