HUMMINGBIRDS..ALL COLOURS

" We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of the dreams....[ Willy Wonka.]

And that is what I just told a lady who said to me, that I had it wrong that the colours of my Hummingbirds were not true..

Hello everyone,

I got stuck in and made a few backgrounds not long ago, just playing, and then the cone flowers came out to play as well and I went with grunge.. "using the term lightly"..

I also had a play with popsicle sticks and made a gate going to no where..

Nothing fancy, just a bit of brown chalk paint and white gesso,
a bit of black too and made it messy  on the edges..

I saw Liz McGuire doing this and really enjoyed watching how she did it..

This is one of the backgrounds I made..using the new TH Saltwater Taffy ink,
on the background and in my paste..

Then my new Hummingbirds dies, so lovely to put together really easy..

And, did you know you can make them any colour you want..no rules..[lol]

My Cone flowers got a bit of a grunge look, and I did get a bit carried away with the splatters in black..

Bit of dimension going on, these flowers were coloured with  Saltwater Taffy ink and water...

and there she is..all gunged up but still pretty..

Thank so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..

Hi Chrissy, I can't believe your a 'joiner' on top of all your other talents...haha...what a gorgeous 'grunged' up card and of course those flowers, always a hit. I love the birds, don't care about the colours either.xx

Beautiful composition Chrissy- love the grungy feel. The background is gorgeous, such lovely warm shades and a great contrast to your pretty blue humming birds and the stunning cone flowers.
As to the colours -some people lack imagination....poor lady.

Beautiful, I love the picket fence and your background is so cool, love that new color, loving those flowers too, I am resisting buying them since I already have a few layered flowers but I do love the look. I agree with you on we can use any colors in our creations, that is the fun part of it all is we can change things up and be creative, and there are a lot of different colors in hummingbirds :)

You're such a clever crafter my friend! I absolutely love your idea for the fence and your hummingbirds are so pretty! What a beautiful card!

In the land of cardmaking pigs can fly, animals wear clothes and have human characters and they can be any color! I have actually no idea what colors hummingbirds are IRL. But they certainly look pretty this way and love your Popsicle fence.
