AND NOW IT'S SATURDAY...

 Hello everyone,

Back with another project, this time is was a commissioned card for a lady who is very, very, Scottish...so what can I do....no pressure!

The first thing I did was went online to find out her clan colours and tartan pattern.
and thought of butterflies using Tim Holtz dies and mixing the solid with tartan.

And led to a rose with tartan details and buds.

Red bodies were not working..

Gold was needed for a lift..

Oh, and had to have matching roses with the gold..

Found a silhouette dancer, needed her, she was going to be my center piece as the lady was a highland dancer 60 years ago..

Roses and leaves getting put in place..

Gold sentiments all die cut out and in place along with a huge 90th.
on the box lid..

and her name!!!!mmm, not working.

Made a box for the card to go into and it's lid,
which was still not working for me..

Card standing up..

Nope, not working..

Loved the card, it came together perfectly for me.

Lid, nope.... have to fix that!

Ahhh..there we go, that is much better,
it is for ALI and she needs to see her name in lights..

I painted the letters out, layer quite a few up so it was as thick as chipboard,
painted them white then added a gold crackle stamp on top and
heat embossed..

So there we go, I was happy, the purchaser was happy, and ALI was thrilled to bits, bless her..

Thank you so much for stopping by..

Luv CHRISSYxx

This is amazing Chrissy- I love the thought you put into creating this very original card- talk about the extra mile! Perfectly designed to suit the recipient from the lovely Highland dancer to those gorgeous butterflies- using the clan tartan was inspired! I'm sure it made Ali's day!
