Steampunk...first time

Hello Everyone,

Well, I said I made a Steampunk...and Steampunk I did..lol..

This fabulous freebie was from Carmen - Beyond the Fringe  and I made it big, as I was going to make a shaped card...but after colouring it in, which took me days to do...[with pencils] I ended up just cutting it out and sticking in onto a card....

I haven't any dies for these cogs and wheels and things, so I went on line and found this picture, printed it out, cut the cogs out, then gold embossed them to get what I sort of wanted...yes...all those nicks with scissors.

This is the picture I printed...

I must have had patience that day..

Coloured with Faber Castell pencils, papers were from a 21st collection..had them forever, no name left.[sorry] inked the edges and then distressed them with the vege knife..added my cogs..lol..and a felt butterfly to break up the large area on the hat.
All the other details on the hat came like that, already done.

I'm quite proud of this card..[said in a quiet shy voice]....but when I first finished it.. I was loud and proud.

So there is Steampunk number one...will have another tomorrow [which I also like...love.]

Thanks for dropping in, will see you tomorrow. I'm off to work for a while [Sat morn] to see 'My Lady' who asked me 11 times yesterday when are my kids coming home from Australia...lol...
I said Wednesday...and instantly she said Oh! Thursday, thats not too far away, and when do they come home?...Gotta love her..lol..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Chrissy this is fabulous. What a cool looking steampunk card. I must say I admire your determination in achieving the look you were going for by all the creative ways you got your embellishments. Makes one think there is nothing one can't do without a pair of scissors and paper. Beautifully done.
