Hello Everyone.................
When I was a child, every Sunday morning [before TV] I would get up and turn the wireless on and listen to the childrens Sunday stories....trhere was "Little Toot" the tug boat who was always in trouble..."Flick the fire engine" who was never big enough to fight fires...and my favourite was the Koala bear, who wished upon the moon that he could talk.....and while making this card with my G/sons, I told them the story, reduced the youngest to tears, but, we had a lot of fun collecting all the elements from the park to make the card...
This was a feebie from Gingerloft to use in their challenge.
The boys wanted to get involved so we went to the park where there are gum trees and collected bark and flowers, leaves and nuts!!..for a better word...the shell thats is left behind when the flower is finished...
Image coloured with pencils, and bark added to the tree for texture....
The boys added bark to the inside [I think they just really wanted to use a hot glue gun]...
I tried to explain that this was not a real Koala bear tree, as they live in Eucalyptus trees, but I was informed that it stinks the same..[lol...] these elements are from a blue gum tree....and they came home with lovely sticky and smelly fingers from the gum seeping out of the tree....which I had said dont touch!!
Not sure what the leafy paper is called sorry, came from my stash..inked up my sky with sponges and my template....
So there you go...entering this card into the challenge at Gingerloft....lots of fun to make.
Big welcome to my new followers, thank you so much for joining me...and thankyou to everyone for your wonderful comments you have been leaving..really, really appreciate it, and just love to read them all...
