Hello Everyone.....
The Weekend is over..[.boo hiss]....but the tree is up, all the lights were tested on the floor..all working...popped them up on the tree...added a bauble,bird,butterfly and angel to every limb on that tree...he's got sparkle and shine in red green and gold...turned the lights on...NOTHING!!..now come on...why does this happen??
It has to be a loose bulb...but which one, there is 500 lights on this tree and some are buried deep inside by the trunk and wrapped around the branches...so disappointing.
But I will get over it, and fix the problem....in the meantime, lets check out this weeks card and sponsor for MAKE IT MONDAY ...

Had to laugh about the lights, it always happens to me too and it's soooo frustrating..... That Santa is just adorable and I love the poinsettia border. The berries are a perfect backdrop.

I just love this card Chrissy ...love that Santa and what a great reindeer he has!.. love all your poinsettia's too! Hope you have your lights up and running soon, I remember as a child my Dad getting out the lights and doing all that checking... and guess what! They never worked first time either!!... I think there is a little naughty light elf going around lol!!

The reason your lights don't work Chrissy is due to a well known phenomenon called Sod's law no amount of preparation can overcome this!! However your card is beautifully prepared and just so Christmassy, love all the flowers! Have a good week and good luck with the blasted lights, Susan xx

Chrissy that happens me EVERY year, I even remember it happening to my Mum when I was small lol. Maybe we should just leave them lying on the floor lol. Love your cute wee santa card.

I think there's a built-in sensor in tree lights that knows when they're on the floor (and then they work) and when they're on the tree (when they fail to - just to make your life miserable!).
Still, a great card to cheer us up again - love the poinsettias!

I think you've used a fun Santa and Rudolph image for this card! And I can spot some machine stitching on here too- it makes such a great frame for the image:) The border of flowers is a great detail!

I love that I read your posts backwards, it's like seeing the future. I know that the lights work NOW, but LOL...what a fiasco. At least you test them first. Nothing like pulling a Griswold once they're all up! Your card is DASHING with awesome applique embellishments and that little glittery reindeer nose. Your POTW makes the two cards like peas in a pod! ADORABLE!!
