Hello Everyone....
Monday today where I live and piddling down..my hair is growing by the minute into a ball of frizz..and the farmers are all out dancing in their paddocks as they are so happy to see this much needed rain.
Now this little poppet I'm here to show obviously loves the rain too...
Patsy April Showers 4 is from the fabulous Stampfairy
If I got caught doing this as a child I would have got a thick ear...but Patsy does not look like she has a care in the world splashing in those puddles...
She was coloured with Faber Castell pencils and her little coat paper pieced in these gorgeous tiny floral papers from Jennifers Printables they are free and are designed for dollhouse wallpaper...so the print is really small...just right for paper piecing.
Her bow and umbrella..boots and gloves are paper pieced too with light card stock called "Tarragon"..
Added lots of memory box umbrella dies...
Added glossy accents to one of the umbrella which was not successful as it went wrinkly...but the puddles glossed up well..

Ah, Chrissy what a shame you weren't allowed to jump in puddles as a littl'un! As my youngest brother once said, caught in the act of jumping in a huge puddle(in his slippers!) 'Well, what are they for then?' -he wasn't being cheeky, he was truly puzzled! (He was about 3 at the time!) Hope you make up for it now, no one can stop you jumping in as many puddles as you want!
Love the card, it made me smile, it's raining here too so I'm off to find my wellies!

This is just too sweet. Love all the umbrellas and the sweet image. Perfect card as we're having some Spring showers at this moment here where I live.
We've had rain overnight and also during the day today but not cold until late this afternoon. Had a lovely morning with Shirley making cards. Love your little cutie and fab paper piecing, the memory box umbrella die cut is fab!

Hi Chrissy, I just love this card. She is so cute in her little rain gear with her flowered umbrellas. I love using glossy accents on things like that. It just gives everything so much more depth and look to them. I hope you and Harry are doing well. I am so happy to be getting time back to play on my blog and also have a few minutes to catch up with my friend around the world. I always tend to forget that if we are headed toward summer you are going towards the white side of things. lol.... Glad you are enjoying though. Hope your ladies are being good for you. I can't tell you enough times how much I admire what you do. It takes a very special kind of person to do it. I love my older customers that come in and I could talk to them for hours about how they ended up here and what they have done in their lives, but I know myself and I know that if it came to having to take care of an older person that I wasn't related to or had a few special needs I really don't think I'd be that good at it.
