NO REASON TO BE HERE..JUST FOR FUN

Hello Everyone...

Sunday evening and just finished work...chomped down my tea and now into peppermint chocolate..I have been really good lately with my munchies.. but guess I fell off the wagon last night and tonight...

So here I am.. "Just Because ".. to share another mixed media scene type project...using the most gorgeous Mermaid image from the Lacy Sunshine Store  [in the New section] and she is called..

                                                           Pearl Lotus Syren

My background was done with modelling paste and stencils on water cardstock...water paints and splashes of white [up the walls too] and glass beads for bubbles...

I stamped the plants black and highlighted with a white gel pen....the image was coloured with Faber Castell pencils and then fussy cut out and glued into place....

The lovely sentiment is a stamp from Firecracker designs...stamped and glued down...

And the seabed has everything else on it...real sand mixed with coloured moulding paste [just added water paint to the paste, then the sand]...shells.. beads.. starfish.. wire loops.. and fishes which were buttons..fish/fishes?

I made this quite awhile ago and she has been sitting just waiting her turn..and I really like it...I struggled so much in the beginning with this mixed media type of art..but it is getting easier and my hands are starting to listen to my brain...hope you like it too.

Challenges to enter....

All sorts   [blue as the ocean]

Alphabet challenge  [J is for Jewels]

Simply papers crafts  [anything goes]

Art Journal Journey   [masculine/feminine]

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some blog love...really appreciate it.

I'm off now...have some more orders to complete and the wind is coming up, so no frost tomorrow..yay!!..

Luv CHRISSYxx

I love this Chrissy and you've done a fab job on it. Such a beautiful mermaid and I love the shells and those bubbles... wow. Isn't it amazing, I have some of those little pearly things you used but on here they look just like shells.
Beautiful work - I've always wanted to try my hand at something like this but I need to get a little braver.

EEEK...so beautiful! She definitely deserves her day in the sun (some pun intended). I snorted when I read "some on the wall." Seems all things bare witness to art being created. Remember my post on blue paint and window shade? I think seeing those bits years from now will bring warm fuzzies. ;)
Your mixed media project has me frothing at the mouth...just GORGEOUS!!!!
hugs to you,
Lisa

Hi, I'm sorry for the incredibly late comment but I have had almost no access to the internet for so long! I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything so I decided to go back to where I left off, and I'm glad I did - I love this card, the scene is amazing!

Thank you for joining us at the Alphabet Challenge Blog, I do hope you can join us again!
