SOUTHERN GIRLS - DT -TEAM TRACE
Hello Everyone..
A new challenge starts today at the SOUTHERN GIRLS and this time it is Team Trace in the spotlight and the theme is...TEXTURE ..
Our sponsor is THE EASTWIND and I was able to choose this gorgeous image to play with...
AURORA FLORAL KISS
There she is...so lovely and so easy to colour with my Reno Art Markers..
My texture is the corrugated cardboard box, where I peeled layers of paper off and added a borders of die cut flowers either side...then the butterflies....I KNOW..Texture, you would think I would go crazy with it..but this image was just too pretty to muck around with.
A close up of Aurora...did a bit of shading with Faber Castell pencils and her cheeks with pink eye shadow...[ I do not use these eye shadows on my eyes at any time..they are cheap and tacky with horrible colours..but perfect for adding details on projects..just saying..lol..]
And a side view...
So there we go..it would be great if you could check out the inspiration from my Teamies HERE
I'm picking the top five this time so do me proud and add all your fabulous texture projects in our challenge and really make it difficult for me to choose..okay!!
Thanks so much for stopping by..the countdown is still on..only 4 more sleeps then back to work...
Challenges to enter...

Oh fantastic! Love the contrast between the vivid colours on lovely Aurora's floral headdress and the white diecuts, and it all looks great against the rugged corrugated texture.

Chrissy, this is beautiful hun. You're right, she's too gorgeous to outshine with lots of other textures. I love the way you've approached the challenge. The corrugated cardboard works a treat as the neutral backdrop and those lovely diecut blooms are perfect, as are the sweet butterflies. Perfect! Hugs, Wends x

Beautiful image. And I like you idea of adding neutral colored die cut flowers between her and the background, it lightens up the card and makes the colors of the image really pop...
