Hello Everyone..
Here today with our new challenge inspiration for SOUTHERN GIRLS but firstly thank you to all who joined in our last challenge and congratulations to the winners...
This week our theme is LAYERS..I love layers especially when I have a cardboard box floating around..
I used one of our sponsors images Blue Bird 2 from Norma J Burnell and just loved colouring him in...
There he is and not a bit of blue in sight [ for a bluebird]..and a light subtle background which you can barely see, but it is there.
Then came those layers..no designer papers just corrugated cardboard..wish now I had added some Gesso for highlights...
And feathers from my stash and the beautiful hessian rose..
Nothing inside at the time these photos were taken, as it was an order and I added details with pockets inside later on...with more feathers.
So there we go..please come and join us in ort LAYERS theme at SOUTHERN GIRLS would love to see you there..
Thanks ever so much for stopping by....nice easy day at work today and day off tomorrow [Friday]..yay!!..

Gorgeous layers and colouring, sweet card
What a treat of a card - the bird is fab and your colouring of him brings him zinging to life. I love your background layers, the natural corrugated cardboard and the burlap flower with the contrasting bold feathers - it all works perfectly.
