NOTHING PLANNED..

Hello everyone..

How is your New Year starting off, all good I hope..mine is okay, back working again..BUT..only 82 days left until I retire..[deep sigh]..and on a sad note I lost a very dear client, went off in her sleep, but the spooky bit was, she was so upset to know I was going to retire and said she would rather be dead than not have me..well, that makes me feel real good [ not] and have taken her passing rather badly..

But, all will be okay, suck it up and think of good thoughts, like my cat walking through my fresh water colouring, it did make me growl, but I laughed as well as the look I got was classic..it was all my fault that I left it laying on my own desk..

Rightio..lets sort through my basket and find some cards to share...

Water colouring on gold embossing..

So simple and so relaxing..

The photo colour is not quite right, but not too bad..

I like to do batches of cards in the last 5 months or so..

Gold die cut sentiment and some red sequins..

Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you soon..

OMG not long to wait actually March will soon be here!Sorry to hear about you losing a client.
If you will leave things lying about on your desk what do you expect you should know by now nothing is sacred with cats lol.
Stunning cards love the embossed flower and beautiful watercolouring-not had much mojo to play last couple of months-luckily all my DT cards were already made well before Christmas

Hi Chrissy, well I think your cards are just gorgeous, love the gold edge and beautiful colours, very rich and festive.
So sorry about the lady who died, its hard isn't it, lets hope she really did decide she had had enough, in a nice way....82 days and counting..xxx

Sorry to hear you lost one of your ladies Chrissy. Our eldest son is Care Manager in a residential home and says it never gets any easier. He loves what he does, started off with a degree in marketing, didn't enjoy retail and is now doing exams in the care profession!! Anyway, your cards are amazing, the embossed gold outline is perfect and I love the peel off messages. I should take a leaf out of your book and batch make!! xx

AWw Chrissy, so sad about your lady, sending you a comforting hug!
I try to remember not to leave 'work in progress' lying on my desk as snout marks and dribble probably look worse than cat paw prints...
These cards are gorgeous, so elegant and beautiful, have never tried watercolouring an embossed image , I'm definitely going to give it a go!

so sorry to hear about your client Chrissy. It has to be an awful hard job you do, building up relationships and losing them. I am sure she is very happy where she is now and won't have to worry about not having you anymore. You must have made her time very very happy. I am loving your cards today. The gold embossing is so beautiful and you have coloured it beautifully. I am dying to see cat print cards now lol. Sending hugs

Beautiful cards Chrissy, you have made them so special. Yes, it's weird how the elderly talk. I once had a patient in her 90's and she was my favourite in this hospital, who said to me, "tomorrow I am going home, I will miss you Ann" and I thought how wonderful her family are taking her home and thought nothing of it, the next day she was peacefully gone. Like when my mum died, I was so upset, in the motel room that night I asked mum to give me a sign she was in Heaven, next minute the above fan went of full speed and I couldn't turn it off....it eventually went off....Mum or Power??? we never know. Once you retire I expect a visit from you.xxxx

So sorry to hear about your client. I had a cancer patient who said something similar before she died, it does put you in a very funny place for a while. Take comfort in knowing that G-d placed you in her life to make her final days joyful.

Your cards are so very pretty! The gold embossing is done to perfection! Thanks so much for sharing with us at A Place to Start!

P.S. Our sister challenge, 613 Avenue Create, has as it's optional challenge theme: Make it Shiny. Your card is perfect! I would love to see it submitted!

Oh your cards are gorgeous! That gold is so elegant. So sorry for the loss of your client and it's funny how things "work" out. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. But more so, I believe that when it's "our day" to go back to God that when he really wants us that it will happen. So it was just her day, but I am still sure that it hurts because of the relationship that you had.
