Hello everyone...
Hope you are all well and hanging on in there..
Today I'm sharing a project of altering a frame..this frame once housed my Daughter and her then boyfriend, who she married, but I kept their pictures for a long time and only recently while looking for something to play with, found it under my bed with the dust bunnies and now it does not look the same..
It started out as a light tan colour, it was all the rage, those light coloured wood frames..
So out came the Gesso..3 coats..dries so fast you don't even notice the time it takes..
Then I glued down, shells, netting, beads, starfish, little beach house..loads of stuff..
When totally dry I painted with Geeso ..
Then painted on, in patches, this beautiful pale blue paint..
And pink, green, yellow and gold...
Then time for the hardboard that is out of the back of the frame, painted with Gesso then stenciled with modelling paste..
Oop's, skipped a photo or two, sorry...this seahorse was a freebie, and I fussy cut him, glued him down over the top of all the leaf vines I had die cut out
Them added some shading and lots of glass bobble beds...
There's the shading...
Popped him back in the frame and really like him..
There's the freebie, just click him, then right click and save..
Finally I added and anchor tied with raw string and stamped a sentiment..
Hope you like him and thanks so much for stopping by..I'll see you in a couple of days..
I have a lot of new orders come in, and it keeps me pretty busy, this is another lady that buys in bulk for the year..not a big hurry to do them, but scared I might forget if I don't get them all done and boxed for her..
See you soon..
Luv CHRISSYxx
