Hello everyone..

Last weekend I had a huge day printing, colouring and fussy cutting, the weather was grim and what a better way to fill in your time..I used these quirky fun images from Vera Lane...bought a heap of them.

Oh, boy, did I get thumb cramp..BUT,I had a wonderful time, had Neflix on and listened to something I cannot even name as I don't think I ever looked up, but it was company, and LOUD.

I bought a lovely set of Deco chalk paints..and they paint on beautifully..

So I set to and started my Art journal page with the sky which went right to the bottom of the page..

Darkened it up a bit and added a grassy area..

Put some clouds in...

Added texture on them with paste and a stencil..

With a black marker I animated the clouds all the more...

And the I added my fussy cut birds, those quirky little birds stole my heart, so I made a Mama and babies walking through the marsh..

Then it needed flowers so added a few of those too..

A close up of those clouds and birds..

And there we have a double page Art Journal page..

The sentiments say, as this picture is quite small..

"This is what family looks like"
"Always take the scenic route"...

Such a great day when I made this..

Thanks so much for stopping by, see you soon..

Thirsty work all this journaling and a girl needs a drink occasionally..

Oh how enchanting this is! I love the whimsy of your mama bird and babies in the marsh art journal pages - those chalks are intriquing. Any residue after they are dry? (like I ran my hand on my old pastel chalks and it would be all over me!) I love your sweet kitty - she's a beauty and stole the show! xx
