SOMETHING BEGINNING WITH...

 Hello everyone,

A new challenge is over at CHRISTMAS CRAFTS ALL YEAR ROUND and still with the alphabet with the letters of M and or N..

I chose M for Mistletoe..and I messed up and realised that I suck with measuring and my gate fold or whatever you call it does not close [deep sigh]..never mind perhaps I may start a new trend..

I cut my panels correct, then embossed them with a cuttlebug snowflake folder..

Made some hills covered in sonw and added tiny trees and little deer frolicking in the snow..

My mistletoe is a doohickey die from Magnolia and secured with a snowflake..

added glitter snow around the base of the trees...

and have to hold the card close with a belly band, cause it doesn't reach.

Never mind, lets keep it a secret and  I will give it to someone for Christmas who has no idea I messed it up..hee hee..

Thanks so much for stopping by, my tummy tells me it is lunchtime so I'm off for lunch, I have scheduled three posts today and made a vintage tag this morning so doing well..

Luv CHRISSYxx

What a coincidence that we used the same embossingfolder today.
I would be able to copy your card as I own all ingredients you have used.
If you hadn't mentioned, nobody would know that the fab card doesn't close the way it should be. That belly band is a great solution!

Hi Chrissy, well if you hadn't pointed it out I would never have noticed that your gorgeous card doesn't close and as it happens I think it looks perfect, like it was meant to be don't you think.....and I love the belly band so all is well. Hope you had a good lunch, just about to have my morning toast.xxx

Hi Chrissy, On one of my scoring boards there are the lines for a gate fold card. The best way I can describe it is, first mark the centre of the piece of card, then with a ruler measure from the centre line to the edge of the piece of card and mark the centre of that piece and score that mark from top to bottom and fold towards the centre. Repeat on the other side. They then should meet in the middle.
Your card is still gorgeous and I wouldn't worry about the shape. There is no rules in creating and who would care if the fronts don't meet! The band works beautifully. Love the trees and the deer and a beautiful scene you have created. Big hugs, Carol S.xxxx

LOL, oh Chrissy you sound as bad as me I can't even cut a straight line with a cutting machine, lol, there are no mistakes when crafting Chrissy or at least that is what I heard, this bears testament to that because it is quite simply beautiful, the trees against the white background along with the embossed panels look amazing, I love it

Don’t worry about the mishap in getting the folds right, you saved it, it actually looks like it was meant to be this way with the belly band.
