MY FIRST ROCKER..

 Hello everyone,

Looks like all good thins come to an end and we have Delta Covid in New Zealand, our PM plunged the whole country into lockdown, god bless her, she is a marvel..there are still some idiots who have their own opinion and the police have been down to the back house where the undesirables live behind me to sort them out..but all in all, the streets are so quiet once more, people are strolling past and only the odd car cruises passed..the hoons are not around, so even they are obeying the rules..Auckland city is a long way from me and so is Wellington city, but the problem lays with Napier folk who may have travelled out of town and been near Auckland where to breakout started..oh, dear, such a long story, so we are in lockdown until who knows when..best place to be.

Right onto my project now that I have let that out..

I made a rocker card, in fact I made three but the last one is my absolute favourite..

Here we go...

Using up my gorgeous Ephemera packs..

Giant butterfly and then I go put the sentiment crooked, can you believe that, I lay it down and glued it straight, stood it up and it is crooked!!!

But it is still pretty and I like it..

Next packet a Tim Holtz pack...

Lots of florals and big red butterfly...

All the floral layers and another butterfly poked in the gap...

Die cut sentiment and glued that thing on crooked as well...

My last is my favourite in lavender and such gorgeous flowers...

Pale blues and lavenders, so pretty..

Had an idea and used a circle of acetate inside this frame and stood it above the base..

Okay, you cannot see the acetate, but it is there..

Then the flowers were displayed around the base and bottom of the acetate..

These little stems are die cut from a set of leaves etc that I use and I always keep them and water paint them and never use them really, until today, they just fitted in so well, colour wise.

So they were poked in to fill gaps and then I added a gold die cut butterfly..so pretty floating above the flowers..

Added a few white flowers along the bottom as I had gaps..

My floating butterfly....

And my beautiful garden..
Notice anything...no sentiment,I cannot deal with the stress..lol..

So there we go, thank you so much for stopping by..I think I might make another Rocker card, so much fun..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Hi Chrissy! Your rockers are all GORGEOUS, love them all, well done. Sorry about the lockdown, but it's something that should help. Yesterday in our little town hardly anyone wore a mask, people didn't keep their distance, and then they will moan about the government when the numbers keep rising....When will they learn? Have a great day, stay safe and well, hugs, Valerie

No one wants lockdowns but it is for the best. If everyone would just do the correct thing it would be fine. At least your government acts fast unlike some. Enough moaning. Your card is beautiful and no sentiment is needed, I think it would detract from the beautiful flowers. Stay safe. Elaine

Love all of your rocker cards, but the idea of using acetate is so clever!
Sorry to hear about the lockdown, but I think it is a wise decision. Here it seems that there are almost no restrictions any more (only no festivals). At the other hand most of our country is coloured red.....so????
We stay most of the time at home as we think that's the most comfortable place to be.
Take care and stay safe!

All 3 cards are gorgeous Chrissy- the 3rd one looks amazing with all those beautiful flowers and the hovering butterfly, what a brilliant idea! Sorry to hear you're in lockdown once again but better safe than sorry. A lot of people here seem to acting as if covid doesn't exist any more which is why the numbers are increasing again- it's very disturbing. Stay safe!

I heard on the news that you were under lockdown and it was down to someone that had been in Australia. They brought Covid with them.

Your rocker cards have really blown me away Chrissy!! You've totally nailed them with all of your amazing details!! They're so beautiful and thanks for the inspiration!! I'm very heart broken with the way the COVID is not settling down all over the world. I'm sorry to hear about the lock down and I wish us all to be safe and healthy so we can get back to the way it was. Sending HUGS

I'm glad I got to stop by and see these beauties in close up! Wow, honestly they really do take the biscuit Chrissy. I love how you added the die frame to the last one, so so pretty. I hope you are keeping yourself safe over there. There is talk of another lock down here too in the next few weeks but who knows. They are more interested in getting business going than in saving lives!

Oh, Chrissy, you do make me LOL! You have artistic license with the sentiments, especially after creating such beautiful cards!

I can see why the last card is your favorite, it's spectacular, with the full circle frame as a great addition. There is so much to look at, several layers and I too love the lavender color. But the 2 other cards are certainly no trolls. You're great at putting things together, I think that is quite tricky.
