GRUNGE..A NEW PASSION..

 Hello everyone..

I know Grunge is not everyone's cup of tea, but there is Grunge and Grunge..I like pretty, but dark grunge and had a really good play with these projects..

My background started out as a panel that I had started and could not get into it..

So I splattered the life out of it with Distress Mica sprays..

I tried to grunge it up as much as I could, but whatever I used in the first place was resisting a bit..

But was happy enough in the end as most of it would be covered anyway..

I then die cut my flowers with kraft card and red card stock, and layered them up..

Gave them a brutal inking..

and was happy..then I lost some photos...

But I gold embossed  the coloured panel with a very soft Stamperia Glamour paste..and just used papers from my stash, all inked and distressed..

I had added cardstock behind these paper panels as they were too floppy and splattered them too..along with the flowers and leaves...

Sorted out my placement..

A close up of the paste and stenciling..

And there she is..all grunged up and I love it..

Not too much dimension and fits into a standard business size envelope..

That top corner was me being too rough and I ripped the corner right off,  but worked out to my advantage really..

So there we have Grunge number one..although they take ages to do with all the inking and embossing and stenciling and distressing and die cutting and gluing, but I had a BLAST.

Thank you so much for stopping by..
See you tomorrow..

What a fabulous creation! I love your technique and the proces behind your project. Such great layering, and the warm fall colours are beautiful. I'm glad it turned out to be something that pleases you - I'd never guess your struggles just by looking at the photos. But then again, I guess that's how crafting works sometimes :) Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

Hugs, Veronika

Yes, I can feel by the way you wrote this, that this was a fun card to make. Always very satisfying when you achieve what you were aiming for. I think the aged and distressed finish looks lovely,
