Hello everyone,
Another lovely day and a bit cooler since I sent the sun around the world..good deed and all that..
So a blast from the past are some old scissors I found in an old pencil case in an old cupboard in the old part of my room..a storage area where things sort of got placed [thrown] and never sorted...
I must have had these scissors for a lot of years..
In fact, I remember cutting with them once and thinking..hmmphh, useless..
But not I have control of myself and my craft they cut really neat and give a super edge without buying and cutter that cuts like this..
Oop's..
Quick fix...cut a new panel...
A new Rose die with the back piece..rose is so wafer thin
and the back panel just cut it in any colour and medium..
OR...you can piece the rose back together if you cut it out twice...gives you a mighty headache and sometimes bad words come out of your mouth, but it really is fun to do..
Simple die cut sentiments and pretty gems...
When things don't quite work well....add splatter..
Just keep cutting those edges..so cool..more splatter..
Oh, what the hay, just keep splattering..
So there we go..three simple little cards, easy to do
and using a blast from the past..
Thank you so much for stopping by, I'll see you tomorrow.
Luv CHRISSYxx

Gorgeous Chrissy- love the big roses and the fancy edgesare a trip down memory lane.. I have a big pot of these scissors with different shapes of cutting edges, they used to belong to my Mum when she could still craft and I inherited them. Never use them but can't bear to part with them, however my granddaughters loved then when they were small and learning to manipulate scissors, they found the fancy edges fascinating and would sit for ages just cuuting bits of scrap paper. xx
Thank you for sending the sunshine Chrissy!! What lovely cards, those scissors did a fabulous job jazzing up the edges. I have a feeling I have several pairs of decorative edge scissors somewhere!! xx
Wow those roses are absolutely stunning Chrissy! Your creations turned out so beautiful! I never would have known you've used scissors for your background unless you mentioned it! I still have my VERY old Stampin' Up! decorative scissors and don't use them often, but have pulled them out from time to time. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration friend!
Three gorgeous cards Chrissy. Love the colours and scissors are brilliant! I had the whole set years ago, all gone to kids to use. Have a lovely weekend and think of us, freezing over here!! Under zero at night and not much above in the day. Big hugs and stay safe, Carol S.xxxx
So fun to see you revive the patterned scissors! Love all your beautiful cards and that gorgeous rose.
I used to love these scissors when they were all we had to cut nice edges! But you have made me want to use them and as I said I came across two pairs recently! Beautiful cards!
