BEGINNING OF NEW WEEK..

 Hello everyone,

What  a week last week was with DT projects and getting all sorted with posts and stuff..I needed a nice long weekend to get over all that and that is exactly what I have been having, as we have a holiday today [Monday] and it is pouring with rain and has been for 2 days and I LOVE it..

So onto some things to share that I have been doing..

Valentine, the month of love so got busy and made a few cards, sort of grunge but not really..

Made my backgrounds first with sprays..

cut out hearts with gold foil papers off the butter...

And die cut oval from my background papers..

And hearts...

Until I had a lovely lot to play with...

This word die is from my stash and been a great one to use this year...cut it several times in white then layered up and topped it with the gold glitter...

Made some panels from Manilla office folders as I ran out of kraft...

and cut smaller squares with gold strip wrapping paper, found that in my cupboard..

and made fancy edges with my scissors..

Then inked up and made a mess of my "kraft panels"

Things did not improve...

splattered these wrapping paper panels and that didn't go too well either..

Stenciled on some coral coloured paste....

And they turned out alright after all...

Got all my love die cuts sorted out though..

Then finally things went to plan and all ready for putting together...

All up I made 8 cards...

They came together so well..embellished with die cut hearts, left overs,
splattered some more...

Sort of grungy...

All matched up with envelopes and into cellophane bags then off to my son's shop..

All these card were 4 1/4 x 5 1/2..
I usually like bigger cards as the postage is relatively the same, but enjoy this size too..

Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Grungy - exactly the word I was thinking before I read it in your post. This makes it a perfect fit both for the romantic and more unromatic persons out there.
