Hello everyone,
Well, that week flew by, and now it is time for a new challenge over at Little Red Wagon and this time the lovely Imke is our hostess and her theme is " Make the Sentiment the Main Focus"...
I remember when I first started making cards I never made room for a sentiment and then never knew where to put one, but I got it now..
And what a surprise..Cone Flowers..I just can't help it..
so using my altenew inks I started blending..
Mostly at the edges as they layer up so much you only see the edges..
But each layer as I went got darker...
and darker and also coloured the dome part...
Until I had a full tray of petal parts..
Layered them all up and a splattering of white ink..done.
Cut a frame and Ooo look, I could make a window with the leftovers...
But this time I had a thought process going already
and not a good idea to change it too much..
Plenty of card layers from the backs of paper pads under this frame for dimension..
Yep, she is a thick one..
Love layers and dimension..
And my beautiful stamped and gold embossed sentiment..
The flowers and added tiny hearts..
Gave it a gold butterfly too and sort of wished now
I had put the flowers together and not had that one up the top..
too late now...SOLD..
Thanks so much for stopping by..
I'll see you tomorrow..
luv CHRISSYxx

Well done to get a great sentiment as a focus and still have all that lovely dimension. Stunning card Chrissy
Oh, those gorgeous purple cone flowers! A beautiful card with a lovely sentiment. xx
Super pretty and gorgeous. I am so loving those flowers in that colour Chrissy.
Chrissy, what a fabulous card! I never leave your blog without learning something new. Not only are your flowers incredible, but the way you "dimensionalized" the frame is fabulous! I have that die, too, and lots of others that could be coaxed into similar shapes. Thanks so much for the tutorial and tips. I love your blog. hugs, de

I'm in love with your gorgeous purple cone flowers. Thanks for all the detailed pic's of how you layered and colored. As a side note...does it make you nervous
to splatter...I'm always afraid to :)
Beautiful creations, yes that is a very thick card, love the inking you did on those flowers and the pretty gold butterfly to top it off!
I never tire of seeing those gorgeous cone flowers, they look so different each time you use another colour. This is fabulous and the raised edges on that gorgeous frame looks amazing xx
Once again, your card is absolutely gorgeous. You know how I love those cone flowers and all the dimension on your card!
Fantastic card, Chrissy! Those flowers look fabulous and I especially love all the little scattered hearts.
