TARTAN RIBBON..

 Hello everyone,

Monday lunchtime here while typing, I'm fed and watered so my brain should be quite active..ha ha ha..it's not..

But at least I have found this project in my folder and time to post it up..

When I want extra heaviness and dimension I use this grey cardstock off the back of writing pads..
it's very thick and strong ..

So that's what I used and this fabulous paper, a random 12x12 sheet that I probably have not looked at for years..as I went to 6x6 pads and the scrapbook papers got pushed aside..

these flowers have been in my scrap pile for a long while too..

Leaves were a fresh die cut, they look great but are quite floppy..

I made little clusters of flowers and leaves, just makes things easier when they are smaller and you are using a lot of them..

They received the dimension too with foam tape..

Then I wanted to try this with the cotton, so I did, then covered it up..

Could still see it here, but then of course I got so carried away..

basically gone..

Mmmm..needed something, not a bird, butterfly or insect of any description..

A bow, a tartan bow..
and with the aid of hot glue and burnt fingers we have curves in the tails..

Which of course gave more dimension...

added a simple gold embossed stamped sentiment...
" Thinking of you today and everyday"..
Done..

Thank you so much for stopping by...

I'll see you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Your design turned out beautiful and I especially love the colors you chose to work with too! I save those cardboard pieces as well...sometimes cutting pieces just for dimension on the backing. Love the pattern, the flowers and your lovely tartan ribbon too! Beautifully done friend!

Your card has a real Irish/Scottish feel to it Chrissy. Very cosy feeling. The large tartan papers are gorgeous with the flowers and bow.
