CLUCK, CLUCK, CLUCK,

 Hello everyone,

Been playing again, die cutting and water colouring and making loads of things to make cards with when SUDDENLY...I stopped...A challenge went up for Double D and it was farm animals and things and I just had to stop what I was doing and play with my animals, or should I say... chickens..'

I LOVE chickens..I have these sitting in my kitchen..

These are made of twigs and sticks and organic stuff, very cute, but they get sticky dust a real pain to clean.. speaking of sticky dust..

And this mum with her chicks sits on my microwave, and I had a client in once who is rather opinionated and said, oh, aren't they lovely and touched them then said," Ooo they all sticky,"
So that meant I had to clean them, how boring I would rather die cut stuff than clean..

Enough of cleaning, who cares right..here's my project..

So doing what I love....die cutting,
and cutting out my chickens and wire for their cage..

Ready for making a frame....

For the wire to be glued on...

Building the layered chickens..
then thought they needed a nest...

So the nearest thing was this haystack...

Turn it upside..presto..

So got all my chooks in row...but I had no eggs..

So found this set and there are some bird eggs..perfect.

But that made me cut branches out too,
so, the project was getting longer...but fun..

Used my markers to colour the branches and leaves...

And now all is ready to build my scene..I also cut another nest..
and inked up the edges of everything slightly..

This background was a freebie off the net..click on it..right cilck it and save, now it's yours too...

So my nesting chicken went on first and the other nest has eggs in it..

Oh, poop, look what I did...ha ha ha,
I was in the zone and not really concentrating, that's why the photos ran out..

'

So cut the front off the card  and stuck it on a new base..
Not a biggy, just annoying..

So this little chook got out and now no one is in there to sit on her eggs..

Mr Rooster keeping and eye out for his girls...

Nice and flat..

And there she is, up the right way and all done...
Thank you so much for stopping by..

While you are here what do you think of the new spell check..
Annoying eh...just like cell phone messaging..lol...

That's if you got it, I don't know where it came from, an update from microsoft I suppose..

See you tomorrow..

Luv CHRISSYxx

Fantastic.... and I laughed at your putting the card upside down! I nearly did that this afternoon... luckily checked before pulling the tape around my panel and was able to save it! This is one awesome card.

I LOVE your chicken card, so beautiful! I have chickens on my blog today, too. Yes things in the kitchen get sticky, even though I don't cook much! Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie

Oh this is gorgeous Chrissy, your a dab hand at these beautiful cards. I have a 'thing' for chickens, think it comes from my mum, she loved them too. They do tend to get a bit sticky though, I think if someone gets a bit miffed by that they can walk to the sink, I know I wouldn't mind haha. Xx

Aww this is wonderful Chrissy. Love chooks, they have such personalities. When we were farming I had a dozen hens, one of which we named Jenny, after my Mother because it was so nosy, just like her!! xx

Dang, girl, these are some ultra-fun dies and your card is soooooo adorable! Love the white hen, and doesn't that rooster look like a proud papa. I love this card so much! Your client would have a little something to say about my vertical blinds. I know I need to give them a good wipe down, but it's such a BIG job... so I'm back in my stamp room, tee hee. Thanks a bunch for sharing your card with us at Double D. I'm so glad you did!

Yes I'm with you, crafting is better than housework any day of the week lol. And housework will definitely wait until we are ready to tackle it. I love your chickens and your chicken card. I have done that a few times myself but an easy fix lol. No spell check here as yet but maybe I'd need it lol. Keep on clucking!!

Oh my goodness is that ever the cutest, you found a great background to go with it and I love the chicken wire to go with them too, perfect for the challenge!
I agree, I would much rather be creating then cleaning off sticky from the chickens :)
The spell check? Are you talking about when writing an email and it puts out what it thinks you want to say, that is very annoying to me and throws me off at times.
